What a wonderful start to the school year! We’ve welcome in our 3 year old children in Canyon!

The first week is always a special time, full of new faces, new routines, and big emotions. At the beginning of the week, some children were feeling a little unsure as they said goodbye to their mums and dads to embark on their day’s journey. This is completely natural, and we are so proud of how bravely everyone took their first steps into their new classroom.

As the days went on, we began to see many smiles, laughter, and growing confidence. The children are already starting to feel more comfortable in their new environment. They have been exploring the classroom, playing with new toys and beginning to make their first friendships. It has been lovely to see them engaging in activities, sharing, and even helping each other.

One of the highlights of the week was our **Welcome Ceremony**. This special event marked the beginning of the new school year and gave the children a chance to experience being part of our school community. Although it was a new experience for many, the children did a fantastic job sitting together with the parents, watching and participating in their own way. We are so proud of them!

Throughout the week, we focused on building a sense of safety and routine. We practiced simple daily activities such as unpacking the things our bags, tidying up, washing hands and joining group time. These small steps help children feel secure and understand what to expect each day.

We are so happy with how the children have started their journey. It’s only the first week, and already we can see them growing more confident and curious. We are excited for the weeks ahead as we continue to learn, play, and explore together.
