This time for our UOI about Who We Are, we asked How’s the Weather? We asked our inquirers what we look like when it’s windy. Our hair goes everywhere! Waterfall huffed and puffed and blew the paint through straws to see what happens to their bodies when the wind blows. They chose what color hair they wanted and which way they wanted their hair to go. Then they looked at the empty circle, inquired about missing features, and then looked carefully to draw their own faces!

After our morning routine “Head, shoulders, knees and Toes” dance, Waterfall made personalized puzzles from head to toe! Students chose whether they were girls or boys, and then each student found their name or friends names to decide who got which puzzle! They colored and then took pictures with their own custom poses for the other side.

Waterfall star students showed how they are caring and open-minded community helpers, who can do any task together! So they worked nicely with each other to make shimmering, shooting stars, and flowing tails for Tanabata Festival!

More community helpers from Rainforest class came to share toys that they made by themselves! Waterfall students love to dance and sing so they are excited and very grateful to receive musical instruments. Thank you Rainforest!

Waterfall students have completed their wonderful books about Who We Are and talked about how they share some interests and like different things, too. They colored the books and added beloved pictures of themselves and their families and other surprises inside! Students happily shared with friends and teachers who is in their family picture. “It’s mommy, daddy and me!” Each student chose their favorite color to make the cover and illustration. Waterfall students drew lions, flowers, airplanes, and a few of the things that they like! It is important to praise their accomplishments at home, so please continue to inquire about the book and choices that they proudly made! They cannot wait to surprise parents with their books!

Finally, Waterfall joined the other classes and birthday kids for a Happy Birthday celebration and dance party outside! They like to move it, move it!
