Teaching the children how to solve a conflict helps them learn to identify and analyze what the conflict is all about, calm their emotions, share their perspectives, and learn how to discuss solutions. To conclude our line of inquiry 2, our young ones participated in a role-playing activity where they picked one scenario and acted out how they would solve the conflict. It was great to see them working together on the activity, and it was amazing how they came up with ideas on how to resolve their conflict. We also discussed our “problem-solving wheel,” which they can use as a guide whenever they have a hard time figuring out how to solve their own conflicts, aside from asking for their teachers’ help. Job well done, Rainforest!

As part of our unit of inquiry, we invited the Yamaga soccer team to be our guest speakers and share how they work as a team. The coaches said that teamwork is all about working together with teammates because you cannot play soccer alone. Even if your teammate fails, you can ask, “Are you okay?” and help that person by asking, “Do you know what to do?” They said the Yamaga Soccer Team lives by the motto “One Soul,” with the goal of coming together as one and striving toward a single shared goal.

We had our very first Sports Festival rehearsal, and everyone is really working hard for our upcoming event. We are doing our very best at every practice to showcase quality and the best performances to our beloved parents. Keep it up, everyone!

Two of our youngsters turned 6 this month! They shared with everybody what presents they received and what cake they ate. They also had fun playing with the balloons and popped them to help the kids with what they needed for their party. Then, they received a present from their teachers. Have a blast!

Have an awesome weekend, everyone!
