Performing is a fun way for young ones to express themselves, their emotions, and explore and improve their unique talents. In our UOI lesson this week, we continued our discussion about “how we express ourselves through performing.” First, we reviewed the different feelings and emotions that we discussed last week to help them determine how the character they are going to portray feels for their play in the Christmas show. Next, we had a reflection on our everyday practice of their play, and then we talked about how we can improve it. Lastly, we applied what we shared to enhance their performance during the rehearsal. Keep it up, Canyon!
One of our little ones found an old beehive at the park and wanted to share it with her Savanna friends. Everyone became interested in it and asked questions like whether there was a bee inside and where she got it. They also had a chance to see it up close and touch it. They said it was soft. Thank you for taking your time, Savanna!
The weather is changing weekly. This week was quite warm compared to last week, so we took the chance to go outside and play at the park. We had fun playing “Mr. Wolf” and on the play structures.
Here is a scene from the music lesson and gym lesson. We sang everyone’s favorite songs, “Donguri korokoro” and “Imo hori no uta” very loudly. Next week, we will sing a new song. We can’t wait to hear what seasonal song we will sing next week.
In gym class, we continue to do mat exercises. This week, we started practicing forward rolls. Putting both hands on the mat, the students turn around while looking at their berry bottons. They practiced while having the teacher hold their backs.
Here’s our dance exercise for this month.
Have an awesome weekend everyone!
See you at our Cheerful Shimauchi tomorrow.
