Thank you dear Parents for sharing about your jobs and how you are helping the community! Your children are sooooo proud of you! We are also very heartened by the good quality homework Savanna submitted for the Community Helpers Journals. Kudos to everyone for making the effort to speak in English and write in English at home!
We had two Daddies who came to ISN and shared about their jobs. Mr Outdoor Guide and Mr Animator thrilled the class with their work in the community. First up was Mr Outdoor Guide who brought his backpack and adventure gear. We get to enjoy the great outdoors with guides who also help us play safe! We were shown ropes, a walkie-talkie, and trekking poles. There were prop sticks, a folding shovel and tracker for rescue work in case skiers or hikers get lost. Savanna asked good questions. “Why is the shovel broken? Why do you need a rope? How long is the rope?

Next up was Mr Animator who brought along a monster, a fox, an Ipad and some great imagination! An animator’s job is all about telling a story and making it fun for everyone. First, a storyboard outlines the plot – a hungry fox looking for lunch is met with an unexpected ending. Savanna: What is this fox made of? How do you make this? Why did you make a monster? The class listened attentively and took part in the making of a short movie using stop-motion animation. Fans of British animation Wallace and Gromit (like the teachers) were fascinated!

Savanna learned so much! In appreciation, we made Thank You cards for our guests speakers. We had a fire drill too and enjoyed park play when we had good weather. To our dear loved ones, we made big hearts in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Hope you will like it. Till next week, have a wonderful weekend!
