Hi, everyone!
This week, we had another successful collaboration bus trip with the Milky Way class from Minami campus. We visited a museum as part of our new unit of inquiry, where we are discussing storytelling. At the museum, the students had a chance to listen to different stories, read books, see various characters from a story, and go inside the library train. Inside the library train, aside from books, we saw how an old Japanese classroom looks. After our trip to the museum, we had a picnic at the park. It was perfect weather to sit and enjoy the scenery while eating yummy obento.

In our phonics lesson, we learned the blending digraphs “cr” and “cl.” Our little ones gave some examples and wrote them on the board. We also did an activity worksheet where they looked for the missing blends. Most of them are now able to read and identify the blends and digraphs.

Autumn season is here!
We had another bus trip this week! This time, we harvested sweet potatoes with the Savanna class. Everybody had a lot of fun digging in the soil to get the sweet potatoes. During each harvest, they were so proud to show them to us. It’s good to see little kids experience this kind of work while they are young, so they will appreciate farmers and the food they eat more. Well done!

Time flies so fast! Now, we are getting ready for our biggest event, the Christmas show! We started practicing for our music performance, where our youngsters have to use different instruments. They are enjoying the practice a lot and are very determined to make their performance great!

Have a great long weekend, everyone!
