Hi everyone!
In this week’s unit of inquiry, we completed a waste segregation worksheet. The students segregated paper, plastic, metal, and organic waste. Through this activity, we can assess their further learning as we conclude our first line of inquiry.

Summer is nearly here! Before this season ends, we are making the most of it with our Savanna friends. We walked to the park together and enjoyed the cool morning breeze. Rainforest students were able to take care of their younger friends. Well done! It’s always a good feeling to have this kind of simple bonding with other classes.

Children’s Day is celebrated to honor children for a good future and in the hope that they will grow up healthy and strong. Our youngsters made a cute koinobori craft. They cut the body and put strips of different colors of paper in it and added the eyes. They made every detail of it beautifully!

Aside from recycling, we are also discussing plants as our unit of inquiry. Our young ones found some seeds at the park and brought them to school. As inquirers, they want to see if those seeds will grow, so they planted them in a pot, watered them, and placed it on the shelf in our classroom where the sunlight comes every morning. They are observing and taking care of them.

JAPANESE LESSON
In Japanese class, we practiced writing the character for “ku” following last week’s “shi”. At the beginning of every lesson, we go over the following promises.
(1) Sit with your seat straightened.
(2) Raise your hands when you speak.
(3) Listen to the stories of the teacher and friends until the end.
By confirming these promises, Rainforest students are now able to maintain their writing posture very well. In addition, they are now able to talk to each other outside of Japanese lessons, trying to listen to what their teachers and friends have to say until the end.

Have a wonderful long holiday, everyone!
