Warm and clean this February with G3!

Grade 3 are looking at ways we generate energy for their final unit of the school year! We are thinking about different ways we can generate electricity and energy and the advantages and disadvantages they may have. To this end, we embarked on a bus trip to the Matsumoto Clean Center. At the Matsumoto Clean Center we learned how waste is recycled and how some waste can be burned to produce clean energy and electricity for the area. We also learned how other waste, that can’t be burned, is recycled. It was fascinating!
The students have each chosen a method of generating electricity to investigate further and I’m looking forward to seeing what they learn, how they decide to explain it and what advantages and/ or disadvantages they percieve for them!
