🏉 Grade 3 PE Blog – Learning Touch Rugby!

This week in PE, Grade 3 started learning touch rugby, and everyone showed great energy and teamwork! We focused on learning new skills step by step, breaking the game into small parts so everyone could understand and feel successful.

First, we practiced how to tag safely, then how to pass backwards. By learning each part separately, we became more confident when we put it all together in mini games.

We will also play creative activities like Tag & Pass, Pass Back Relays, and End Zone Runs. These fun games helped us practice the skills without worrying about the full game yet.

🌟 IB Learner Profile in Action

We saw so many learner profile traits:

  • Risk-takers – trying a new sport and new skills
  • Communicators – calling for the ball and working in teams
  • Thinkers – deciding when to pass and where to run
  • Caring – tagging gently and keeping everyone safe
  • Balanced – using both our bodies and our minds

🤝 Our PE Essential Agreement

During touch rugby, we remembered our agreements:

  • We play safely
  • We encourage others
  • We try even when things are tricky
  • We listen and follow rules
  • We learn from mistakes

Learning something new isn’t always easy, but breaking it into parts helped us grow. We are excited to keep building our skills and play real games soon!
