Dear Grade 2 Families,
Wow, what an exciting couple of months we’ve had in our PYP classroom! Let’s take a fun trip down memory lane and see what our amazing Grade 2 superstars have been up to!
Lights, Camera, Action!
Our little performers have been diving deep into the world of performing arts! We’ve been exploring how drama, music, and dance can help us connect with others and express ourselves. It’s been like a magical journey of discovery!
- Our drama team are turning into little actors and actresses!
- Yuriya and Emi are twirling and swirling as they learn new dance moves!
- Our music maestros are hitting all the right notes!
Showtime!
Remember when we had those adorable preschoolers visit us? Our Grade 2 stars shone bright as they:
- Danced to “Butter” by BTS (smooth like butter, indeed!)
- Acted out “A Big Turnip” (who knew vegetables could be so dramatic?)
- Sang “Strong” by Sona Rele (and boy, were they strong!)
And guess what? We’re getting ready for an even bigger show – our Christmas presentation on December 20th! It’s going to be ho-ho-ho-awesome!
Learning and Fun, All in One!
We’ve had so many cool experiences:
- We became teachers for a day during our open day, showing our parents what we’ve learned so far!
- Halloween was spooktacular with costumes, movies, and yummy popcorn!
- We had a sweet potato party (thanks, Mr. Terry and our G2 parents!)
- Hana’s grandmother visited and taught us about England. She even taught us a new song and read us a story. We also taught her the Jengga dance from Israel.
Safety First!
We learned how to stay safe with stranger drills and evacuation practices. Because superheroes need to know how to protect themselves too!
Sports and Assembly
We showed off our sporty side during Sports Day and even hosted a school assembly with a special guest speaker. Talk about being well-rounded!
Finally, we would like to share another piece of information about when our classmate joined the yearly newspaper writing contest. This year, she featured three of our ISN teachers. She wrote about their favorite food. She even prepared it together with her family!
Thank you, dear parents, for all your support. Your little ones are growing, learning, and having a blast every day. Stay tuned for more adventures from our PYP Grade 2 classroom.
