Dear Friends and Supporters of Grade 4!
Wow! It’s been such a busy Autumn! Before I know it, the days are sliding into single figures on the thermometer! Soon it will be time to break out the long johns! The great news is that we were all able to make the most of our indian summer by enjoying our GOJO Sports Festival together! Grade 4 collaberated with Grade 3 to come up with a tournament of four mini events based on the day’s theme of the continents! The students could display their principled team spirit and risk taking creativity in coming up with and taking part in these fun packed events!!

A personal highlight for me was their dance performance! They worked so hard on choreographing and executing their performance! The students were so brave to perform in front of the school and it’s supporters and I was overjoyed to see them smiling as they did it!

We have also reached the end of Unit 3 in the classroom! Unit 3 included an introduction to politics, government and the art of democratic decision making! As a part of every Unit we make a wonderwall at the beginning of the unit. Here, students are encouraged to think of the questions they might hope to find an answer to throughout the unit, I’m always blown away by the quality of these questions and their insight! I thought I would share some here! Please ask your child if they found the answer to their question!

Just a couple of days ago we went to visit our nearest neighbouring high school, Aida high school! It was great fun to see our students making friends and playing with the high school students! I have to say I was really impressed that even the youngest GOJO students were more than equal to the English ability of the high school students! It was great fun and I hope we get to do it again soon! Maybe next time we can welcome them to GOJO Campus?

That’s all from Grade 4 for now, until next time, stay snug!!!
