PYP Exhibition Project

The excitement is building in Grade 5 and 6 as students dive into their PYP projects with energy, creativity, and purpose! This year’s displays are nothing short of inspiring. From powerful presentations on reducing food waste, to passionate research about protecting animal habitats, and even a fascinating exploration of the evolution of art over time, our young learners are showing just how much they can achieve when given ownership of their learning.

Working under the inspiring theme of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), students demonstrated true IB Learner Profile attributes. They were inquirers, digging deep into research and asking thoughtful questions. They were knowledgeable, confidently explaining their ideas. They were principled and caring, especially when discussing environmental responsibility and sustainability. Most impressively, they showed incredible independence and creativity, planning their displays, collaborating with teammates, and thinking outside the box to make their messages impactful.

The food waste groups explored practical solutions families and schools can use every day. The animal habitat teams raised awareness about conservation and human impact. Meanwhile, the art groups took us on a journey through time, showing how creativity has evolved across cultures and generations. Each display reflected not only strong research skills but also imagination and student agency.

With the recent music concert at Harmony Hall behind them, these students are now more than ready for the big stage — the PYP Exhibition! If this project is anything to go by, we know they will shine with confidence, curiosity, and compassion. The future is bright for our Grade 5 and 6 learners!
