Our class enjoyed learning about Setsubun, a traditional Japanese event that welcomes the beginning of spring and reminds us to drive away bad luck while inviting happiness and good fortune.

They had so much fun pretending to chase away the “oni” while also reflecting on habits they want to improve and the kind choices they want to bring into our classroom community.

This experience connected beautifully with our learning about culture, traditions, and how people around the world celebrate seasonal changes. It was wonderful to see the students engaged, curious, and excited to participate in this meaningful Japanese custom.

We hope this celebration brings smiles to our children and helps them feel the joy of welcoming a new season together!
