当日午前中は、パッキングやフライト前のシャワーなどできるよう10：00頃までゆったりと過ごしました。その時もプレゼンテーションの練習をするペアもいました。最後までとても熱心です！

その後は電車とメトロを乗り継ぎNaraweena小学校へと向かいました。電車内は少し静かで、皆が緊張していたのが伝わってきました…！
今回Narraweena小学校との交流会を設けることができたのは、実はMr.Coreyの教師仲間がこちらのNarraweena張学校の学校長と知り合いでその関係でこのような素敵な場を設けていただくことができました！！

さあ、いよいよ交流先のNaraweena小学校へ到着しました！！！
到着後、とてもフレンドリーな校長先生”Mr. Rod Tuckerman”に出迎えていただきました！生徒は校長先生のことをMr.Tと呼んでいるそうです。Mr.Rodについて進んだ先は…

そのままGrade5-6の待つクラスルームまで移動をし、中へ入ると…ものすごく、本当にものすごい熱烈な歓迎をしていただきました！！！進行をしてくれた、Grade5担任のMs.Miaの話では、Narraweena小学校の児童たちはこの日を首を長ーーーーーーくして待ちわびていたそうです！

ISNチームが入るや否や、皆メンバーに興味津々！Mr.TやMs.MiaがISNチームへ自己紹介など質問をした後、今度はNarraweenaの子どもたちから質問タイムの時間…途切れない質問の嵐でした！！🌞⛅☔🍬✨

好きな食べ物は？好きな色は？好きなスポーツは？好きな食べ物は？好きなアニメは？などなどなど。先生方が止めない限り、果てしない質問の量でした。見ていて本当に微笑ましかったです。ただ、ISNの皆はあまりの歓迎度に少しだけ圧倒される姿も見られました…！

その後は校庭へ移動し、各自ランチを食べました。通常オーストラリアのスクールでは、お弁当を持ってくる子とスクールの売店でランチを買う子がいます。(売店はCanteenと呼ばれます)

この日私たちは特別にCanteenのランチをいただきました！子どもたちが好きなメニューを選ぶことができ、ほとんどの子が”全部乗せ”を選びました。この日は寿司、ミートパイ、ソーセージロール、ティムタム、ラミントン(オーストラリアの伝統的なお菓子)、ジュース、ポップコーン又はポテトチップスです。日本とは全然違う雰囲気のランチですよね！🥄😊

ランチを食べている最中も、まるで有名人のように2,30人の児童に囲われながら質問のシャワーでした！食後少し時間があったので、Narraweenaの児童とお話ししたり、一緒にバスケットボールをプレイするなどしました。

ランチを食べた後は、Mr.Tの案内でスクール施設を見学しました。

そして、遂にプレゼンテーションの時間です！！！！！！
講堂には、5-6年生全員が集まりISNチームのプレゼンを楽しみにしています。Narraweena小学校はマンモス校で5-6年生だけでも200名近くいるそうです！！

プレゼンテーションの様子は本来でしたら動画として皆さんのご覧いただきたいのですがBlogでは写真で雰囲気をお伝え出来ましたら幸いです。
この日のためにたくさんペアで練習してきた児童皆、緊張する様子は見えても皆堂々とやり終えました！！⭐👏少々のハプニングもなんのその！傍で見ていて心から誇らしかったです。

この時のプレゼンテーションの内容を少しお伝えいたします📢
この日のために参加児童はプレゼンテーションのトピックを【私たちのクラス日本・長野県・松本市・安曇野市】に決めて各ペアで進めていました。
私たちスタッフ側から以下のルールを設けた上です。
①一切のメモを見ずに進めること
②クイズを入れること
③検索したことをそのままコピー＆ペーストではなく実際の経験・体験を織り交ぜること
当日はどのペアもしっかりとルールにそって素晴らしいプレゼンテーションにしてくれました！🌈

Narraweenaの児童もISN児童が考えて持ってきたクイズには大興奮！楽しい笑い声が響きました😊各ペアなんと6分間もプレゼンテーションをやり切りました！！！

その後は記念品をいただき、記念撮影✌
そしてまだまだ終わりません…！なんとNarraweenaの5-6年生もオーストラリアの文化についてプレゼンテーションをしてくれました！！！🐨ISNの児童はとても楽しそうに鑑賞。

そして遂に…とても名残惜しいですが帰路につきました🚃
Narraweena5-6年生のクラスルームから退場する際に、サプライズでNarraweenaチームが手でトンネルを作って見送ってくれました！！そして私たちに、皆さん来年も来てくださいね！と最後まで温かく接してくれました。

さて、最終日の様子をお伝えいたしました。
最終日の夜、参加児童全員が今回のツアーの修了証明書も無事に受け取りました。

子どもたちの新しい体験、成長の様子を近くで見ることができ、たった1週間での大きな成長を感じました。

引き続き私たちISNは子どもたちの学びの選択肢を広げる活動を進めて参ります。

On the morning of the final day, we spent a relaxed time until around 10:00, packing our things and taking showers before the flight. Some students were even practicing their presentations until the very end — their dedication was truly impressive!

Afterwards, we took a train and then the metro to get to Naraweena Public School. By the way, this metro line had just opened last year, so it was very new and clean.

Upon arrival at Naraweena Public School, we were warmly welcomed by the very friendly principal, Mr. Rod Tuckerman! The students at the school affectionately call him “Mr. T.”

We then moved to the classroom where the Grade 5-6 students were waiting. As we entered… we were greeted with an incredibly enthusiastic and warm welcome!!! According to Ms. Mia, the Grade 5 teacher who was leading the day’s activities, the students of Naraweena had been very eagerly looking forward to this visit!

As soon as the ISN team walked in, the Naraweena students were full of curiosity and excitement! After Mr. T and Ms. Mia asked some questions to help the ISN students introduce themselves, it was time for the Naraweena students to ask theirs… and the questions just kept coming!

“What’s your favorite food?” “Favorite color?” “Favorite sport?” “Favorite anime?” … and more and more! The questions were endless until the teachers finally had to step in and stop them. It was truly heartwarming to see.

That said, some of the ISN students did seem a little overwhelmed by the intensity of the welcome!

Afterwards, we moved to the schoolyard for lunch. In Australian schools, students usually bring their own lunch or buy from the school canteen. (The canteen is often just called the “Canteen.”) On this day, we were given a special canteen lunch!

The students could choose their favorite items from the menu, and most of them opted for “everything!” The menu included sushi, meat pies, sausage rolls, Tim Tams, lamingtons (a traditional Australian dessert), juice, and popcorn or potato chips.

Even during lunch, we were surrounded by 20 or 30 students asking questions like we were celebrities! After eating, we had some free time to chat with the Naraweena students or play basketball together.

Then, it was finally time for the presentations.

All the Grade 5 and 6 students gathered in the school hall, eagerly waiting for the ISN team’s presentations.

We recorded videos of each presentation, so we hope you’ll have a chance to watch them as well. Even though they were a little nervous, the students had practiced many times and gave confident presentations. A few small mishaps didn’t stop them at all! Watching them from the side, I felt so proud of each and every one of them.

After the presentations, we received commemorative gifts, expressed our thanks, and headed home. The students and staff of Naraweena warmly told us, “Please come again next year!” as we left.

When the new school term begins, we plan to write thank-you letters to everyone at Naraweena Public School.

And that concludes our report on the final day of the tour. All the students successfully received their certificates of completion. Watching the children experience new things and grow through this journey was an invaluable experience for me personally.
