Hello and welcome back to Aurora’s weekly activities update!
This week in UOI lesson, all Aurora students finished with their very cute pet dog craft which they really liked. As part of our lesson on how people help animals, they demonstrated how they take care of their pet. We had things needed in taking care of the dog spread on the floor such as shampoo, brush, bone, water, and ball. The teacher gave the students a specific command to be demonstrated using those things. Our boys and girls had so much fun and did a great job being a pet owner!
今週のオーロラさんは、UOIでとてもかわいいペットの犬を作り終えました。このクラフトは「私たちはどのように動物を助けるか」の一部で、子ども達は自分のペットの世話の仕方を学びました。楽しいアクティビティでは、水、骨、おもちゃ、シャンプーなどのお世話道具の絵があり、先生が指定したことを自分のペットにしてあげられるかを見るアセスメントをしました。みんなで犬を歩かせたりしているところを見ると、とても微笑ましかったです🥰

• Clean your dog.
• Play with your dog.
On Tuesday, we made another craft which is related to the upcoming Hinamatsuri or Doll’s Day/Girl’s Day on March 3rd. Using paper cups, origami papers, and cut out tiara and hat, they were able to make dolls. They cut the origami paper into two triangles and wrapped them around the paper cup to make a kimono, glued their picture on a round paper with the tiara/hat. They made two dolls (girl and boy). The first doll has their picture as the face, and they had to draw the face of the other doll.
火曜日は、ひな祭りのお人形作りをしました。紙コップを二つ使ってお雛様とお内裏様を作ります。まずは好きな折り紙を選び三角に切ります。そしてそれをのりで上手に貼り付けて、着物をきせます。自分の写真が貼ってある顔と、もう一つの人形の顔を描いた紙を紙コップに貼って、髪飾りをはりつけて完成です！とってもキュートなお雛様ができあがりました😉
It was rainy on the day we were planning to go to the park, so we just did some indoor exercise activity. In the beginning they had to hop in each hoop, then cross on a narrow bridge, and jump over the two hoops. That was a good warm up activity for a rainy day!
パークに行く日が雨だったため、クラス内でエクササイズアクティビティをしました！フープと棒を使い飛んだり、ケンケンしたり、バランスを使って棒の上を歩いたり、上手に体を動かすことができました👏
We finished practicing writing letters Hh and Ii this week. Those letters seemed a little bit easy for our boys and girls! Well done!
今週はアルファベットのHｈとＩiをやりました。この二つのアルファベットは、オーロラさんにとって簡単だったように見えました😉
We also had our Music class still learning the keys “DO” and “RE” in their pianica. They had to press the key based on how the music goes (slow and fast).
ミュージッククラスでは、ドに続いてレも練習しています。ほとんどの子ども達は、ドのキーを簡単に探すことができています👏
This time we did something new at the gym. After some stretching exercises, Aurora students tried to imitate the movement of some animals like seal, duck, and penguin! As always, they are on the go and ready to try those movements!
今回のジムレッスンでは、新しいエクササイズをしました。みんな動物さんになりすまし、あざらしさんになって床を這ったり、アヒルさんになりしゃがんで歩いたり、ペンギンさん歩きをしたりしました。いつもどおり上手にすべての動きをこなしていました✌
