Hello everyone,
It’s the second week since the school has started. This week most of the Rainbow kids had their first nap at school. Some of them still have a hard time coping with their separation anxiety. Gradually, they are getting used to it. Doing the same routine every day gives them the idea of what to do next and what will happen next. Day by day, we can see smiles on their faces and enjoy school. They enjoy playing with the toys they like and finding friends to play with.
We played in the yard for the first time. We explained the rules when playing in the sandpit and the danger it will cause when they don’t follow the instructions. They could share toys and space and had a blast playing with each other.
みなさん、こんにちは。新学期が始まって２週間目の 今週、レインボーのほとんどの子ども達が園での昼寝を体験しました。中にはまだパパ、ママと離れて過ごす不安に苦労している子もいますが、少しずつ慣れていきます。 毎日同じ日課をこなすことで、次に何をすべきか、次に何が起こるかがわかってきます。日に日に子ども達に笑顔が見られ、園生活が楽しくなっています。 好きなおもちゃで遊んだり、一緒に遊ぶお友だちを見つけたりして楽しんでいます。 初めての園庭遊びでは、砂場で遊ぶときのルールや、ルールを守らないと起こる危険性について説明しました。 子ども達はおもちゃやスペースを共有して、お互いに楽しく遊ぶことができました。
It was another rainy day and we spent the day playing in the classroom. Kids enjoyed tearing newspapers and throwing them up high like pouring rain. After playing, kids put some of them in the plastic and made a ball. They loved it.
その日は雨だったので教室内で一日中遊んで過ごしました。 子ども達は新聞紙をちぎっては、土砂降りの雨のように高く投げて楽しみました。 遊んだ後はその新聞紙をビニール袋に入れてボールを作りました。 とても気に入っていました。
We measured their height on the wall and marked it with their stickers. This is to check how much they get bigger before the year ends. We are excited to see their growth.
壁（キリンさんの測定紙）で背丈を測り、自分のシールでマークをつけました。年度末にはどれくらい大きくなっているかな？子ども達の成長を見るのが楽しみです。
We had our first gym this week. The kids were thrilled while we were on the bus heading to the gym. They were surprised when we entered the wide space. We began the lesson by stretching their bodies, then had fun racing and playing with the hoops. It was a hectic day for them and they got tired when we back to school.
今週、初めての体育レッスンがありました。 体育館に向かうバスの中で、子供たちは大興奮でした。 広い体育館に入ってびっくりしていました。 まずはストレッチから始まり、その後、かけっこやフープ遊びを楽しみました。 大忙しだったので園に戻る頃にはみんな疲れていました。
We did a flower handprint. They chose their favorite color and practiced saying I like… Red, yellow, etc. while pointing the color. Some students say It’s tickling! It’s cold! when they had their hands painted.
花の手形を作りました。 好きな色を選んで、その色を指差しながら「I like…Red、Yellow…」と言う練習をしました。 手に絵具を塗る時には「くすぐったいよ！」とか「冷たい」と言う子がいました。
Learning colors is fun. This month we will be learning about colors. Kids love singing the “Rainbow Song” and we can hear their big voices gradually. They are getting familiar with the colors and can recognize some of them. We asked each student to tell us what color they liked. Each of them took the flashcards and actively said in front of their friends: I like… (color) Well done, Rainbow!
色について学ぶのは楽しいです。 子ども達は「レインボーソング」を歌うのが大好きで、どんどん大きな声になってきます。「色」に慣れ、いくつかの色を認識できるようになりました。 一人一人に好きな色を教えてもらいました。 それぞれがフラッシュカードを取り、お友だちの前で「私は〇〇色が好き」と積極的に発表しました。よくできたね、レインボーさん！

We had our first music lesson and our little ones were excited while waiting outside the music room. They imitated what the teacher was doing and clapped their hands with the rhythm.
初めてのミュージックレッスンがあり、音楽室の外で待っている間も子ども達はワクワクしていました。 先生の真似をしてリズムに合わせて手をたたきました。
