Greetings,
Welcome to our second blog for the month of November.
This week the dentists visited ISN Minami campus to check our teeth. They examined our teeth, gums, and mouth to ensure that everything is healthy and functioning properly. We say, No way to tooth decay!
We had phonics lesson, we learned the -og word family; dog, hog, fog, log, and jog. Before introducing the -og word family, we sang the Phonics and CVC song followed by a short recap of the letters and their sounds. Then, students were challenged to think of any -og family CVC words and surprisingly they thought of dog and jog. Other CVC words were introduced with pictures and we read through all of them. Finally, we did spelling activity. Students wrote the CVC words mentioned by the teacher on the practice writing board.
We went to the gym and as soon as we got there, we ran around in a huge area and when we heard the whistle, we lined up quickly and followed the teacher’s directions. Shooting Star class engaged in all physical activities from beginning to end.
For our UOI, we talked about expressing ourselves with words. Students were given different pictures of events and asked their thoughts about them on what they’re ought to say to be understood and what advice they can give to others when they encounter situations shown in the picture. Students’ answers were practical and meaningful and they tried to apply them in their behavior.
For our craft, we made rings that we can use as treasures for the Christmas Show. And we also made our own treasure box!
Finally, we had a wonderful time playing in the park.
Have a fantastic weekend, everyone.
