Clean-up Drive! MW 2/17-2/21

“Environmental cleanliness begins with each individual desire to be clean.” – Lailah Gifty Akita

Because of the desire of the Milky Way students to pick up the trash around the community, our class conducted a clean-up drive activity during our school open day with the help of their parents. At first, we thought we’re not getting much trash because the surroundings look clean, but when we looked at the sides of the roads or grassy areas beside the road, surprisingly we found lots of trash. Without any hesitation, the Milky Way students picked up all the trash they could find and sorted them accordingly. Yes, they sorted the garbage properly. We brought the garbage collection guide so that we can easily categorize the trash. Everyone worked together to achieve our goal which is to clean the community. It was amazing to see the teamwork of the children and parents doing such a worthwhile activity. So, thank you so much for our unending support, dear parents. It won’t be possible without you!

To continue exploring about growth, Milky Way students started making a scrapbook which we called “I Can Do Many Things”. Students glued some their own photos from baby up to present. Then they drew the things they can do now. They keep thinking about the things they are good at now and imagine themselves doing such activity or action and draw it. Next week, they will write about their drawings and draw what they want to be when they grow up.

Our class got busy yet enjoyed practicing for the music concert and graduation performance. They started to practice playing bells for the Auld Lang Syne song which they will perform on graduation day. Everybody loves singing and music, so everyone’s always looking forward to their practice.

That’s all for this week. Thank you and see you next week! Enjoy your long weekend!
