Happy Father’s Day!- Aurora(June 9th-13th)

Hello , wonderful parents and friends! Here’s another week of adventure and learning in Aurora. Singing, smiles, and celebration! Hello everyone! Here’s another week of
adventure and learning in Aurora. Singing, smiles, and celebration.

As the party began, the room was filled with cheerful voices singing the “Happy Birthday song”. It was heartwarming to see all the students come together, making our Celebrant feel special on her big day! Ms. Amanda did a magic show that made everyone giggle. We are excited about our student’s progress and her best efforts every day! Happy birthday to our dear student; we love you!

“The Floor is Lava!”

The classroom was full of energy and laughter as we played “The Floor is Lava!” We explained the instructions and tried playing many times until they understood the game rules. As soon as they heard the sound, “The Floor is Lava!”, the classroom lit up with excitement. The children quickly jumped onto their chairs and lifted them to avoid the lava flowing beneath their feet! They were completely immersed, finding a chair and cheering each other on. It was thrilling to see them thinking and moving fast as they made their way across the classroom without touching the floor.
「The Floor is Lava!(床はまるで溶岩だ!)」 音楽の途中で「The Floor is Lava!」 There!」

“Father’s Day craft”

While our crafts are fun to make, the real joy comes from knowing we were honoring their amazing dads. Celebrating this bond is a beautiful part of early childhood. And we are proud of our little learners for putting love into their gift. They drew their dad’s face, colored the tire of daddy’s car, and painted the paper cut into a shirt. We talked about their dad and the things they like about them. “Happy Father’s Day!” to the amazing dad!

“What are you doing?”

We practiced the phrase “What are you doing?” through a fun and interactive activity. We sang the song “What are you doing?” and each student took turns picking up a flashcard that showed an action(like walking, running, or sleeping). Then their classmates asked, “What are you doing?” and the student answered using the action from the flashcard – for example, “I’m jumping!” It was a great way to get everyone speaking and listening in English. The students were excited to take part and are starting to use the phrase with confidence.
「What are you doing?(何をしているの?)」 What are you doing? お友達が 「What are you doing?

Park Adventure-“We are risk-takers!”

We went on a little adventure- walking to the park. Everyone walked in a straight line along the side of the road, holding hands, and in some parts, they walked in a single line. Students kept the following rules in mind when walking: S-Walk in a Straight line, S-Walk at the Side of the road, G-No Gap, E-Eyes ahead. Our students showed they were Risk-Takers by being brave and responsible during our walk. Once we arrived, we enjoyed playing, exploring nature, and having fun together. It was a big step for our little learners, and we are proud of them. Great Job, Aurora!

Letter D Scavenger hunt- Big D, and little d”

We had a fun and hands-on activity to help us learn the letter D! We prepared pairs of big D and small d using the same color for each pair. Our students had to find them with their eyes closed first!. Once they opened their eyes, the scavenger hunt began! Everyone searched around the classroom to find the matching capital D and lowercase d. When they found the match, they held them together like they were holding hands, just like good friends! This activity helped our learners to recognize and match uppercase and lowercase D/d. They use their observation and memory skills, work independently, and have fun.

Next week, we are going to learn the letter ”E”. We’d like to enjoy playing with water and mud on the sunny day! We also have swimming lesson on Tuesday, so please bring the pool set.

Thanks for reading! See you again next week with more Aurora adventures! Have a great weekend!
