ミルキーウェイクラス：🎄歌と笑顔と物語でクリスマスを祝いましょう🔔 (12月15日〜19日)
Hi everyone! Welcome to our last blog of 2025! It goes without saying that this week’s highlight was the much-awaited Christmas show. Everyone did their absolute best to put the finishing touches on their performances. There was a lot to do—practicing for the play, rehearsing the music performance, and remembering the lyrics and dance moves for the opening and closing songs. As some students joined MW this year, it was their very first time setting foot on the stage. The rehearsal at the performing arts center definitely helped them realize how big the stage is and that having a clear and audible voice would be key to a successful show.
皆さん、こんにちは！2025年最後のブログへようこそ！今週のハイライトは、言うまでもなく、待ちに待ったクリスマスショーでした。皆、パフォーマンスの仕上げに全力を尽くしました。劇の練習、演奏のリハーサル、オープニングとエンディングの歌詞とダンスの振り付けを覚えるなど、やるべきことは山積みでした。今年MWに入園した生徒の中には、初めて舞台に立つ生徒もいました。芸術館でのリハーサルを通して、ミルキーウェイのみんなは、ステージの大きさを実感し、はっきりと聞き取れる声を出すことがショーの成功の鍵となることを実感しました。

The students have been working hard to review ordinal numbers, and they are getting better at using them in their daily speech and writing activities.Our focus on UOI during workstation time has been consistent over the past few weeks. Revising and reviewing key content has helped students better understand the main ideas covered across all three lines of inquiry.
クラスでは序数の復習に意欲的に取り組んでおり、日常の会話や作文活動の中で序数を正しく使う力が着実に伸びています。ここ数週間は、ワークステーションの時間を活用してUOIに重点的に取り組んできました。重要な内容を繰り返し振り返ることで、生徒たちは3つの探究分野全体を通して、主要な概念への理解をより深めることができました。
By the beginning of the week, everyone had finished making their dioramas and they presented their stories in front of their peers.We heard a few original stories as well as remakes of stories the students had heard before. It was fun to experience their individual creativity. Great work, Milky Way!
週の初めには、全員がジオラマ作りを完成させ、クラスメイトの前で物語を発表しました。オリジナルの物語に加え、これまでに聞いた物語を自分なりにアレンジした作品もあり、それぞれの発想や工夫が光っていました。生徒たち一人ひとりの個性的な創造性に触れることができ、とても楽しい時間となりました。

Unit 3 was very interesting and fun filled for us all. Over the past weeks, our 6-year-olds explored emotions, feelings, and storytelling under the broad theme of How We Express Ourselves. Through stories, role plays, and discussions, they learned to identify different emotions and talk about how characters feel and why. The children practiced expressing their own feelings using words, facial expressions, and actions. Storytelling activities helped them understand how emotions can shape a story and connect us to others. Overall, the unit encouraged creativity, empathy, and confidence in expressing themselves.

ユニット3は、私たち全員にとって非常に興味深く、充実した楽しい学びの時間となりました。ここ数週間、6歳児たちは「私たちはどのように自分を表現するのか」という大きなテーマのもと、感情や気持ち、そしてストーリーテリングについて探究してきました。
物語の読み聞かせやロールプレイ、ディスカッションを通して、子どもたちはさまざまな感情を認識し、登場人物がどのように感じ、なぜそのように感じるのかを話し合う力を身につけました。また、言葉や表情、行動を使って自分の気持ちを表現する練習にも積極的に取り組みました。
ストーリーテリングの活動を重ねる中で、感情がどのように物語を形づくり、自分自身と他者をつなげているのかを理解することができました。全体を通して、このユニットは子どもたちの創造性や共感する力、そして自己表現への自信を育む大切な学びの機会となりました。
