Our Open Day-Shooting Star-February 24th-28th – International School of Nagano

Welcome to our last blog for the month of February!2月最後のブログとなります！

Shooting Star’s highlight for this week was our school open day. As soon as parents entered the class, we started our morning circle by singing the “Let’s Start This Day” song followed by an enthusiastic greeting. Parents were able to observe our whole morning circle time. After the morning circle, we took a short break followed by our UOI lesson. Students knew pretty well that we had a special guest and that he is a father of one of Shooting Star students. Our special guest, who is a doctor, prepared a wonderful presentation related to his job and gave us the chance to touch and handle the tools that he uses. Thank you, Kei’s dad! After the presentation, students were given the chance to ask questions and Kei’s dad tactfully answered them. Then, in the afternoon, we made a reflection by individually answering the worksheet checklist and through class discussion. After the said reflection, many Shooting Star students want to be a doctor. And during free-play students began to play with stethoscope checking their friends’ body like a doctor.

今週のハイライトは、参観日です。クラスにパパやママが入室すると、 “Let’s Start This Day” のお歌と共に朝の会が始まりました。みんなやる気に満ち溢れていましたね！保護者の方に見守られ、いつものサークルタイムをこなしました。小休憩の後、UOIへ移行！子ども達はみんな、ゲストスピーカーをお迎えしていることを承知していて、更にその方はクラスメート、Kくんのお父さんと知っていました。スぺシャルゲストは、お医者様で、この日の為に沢山の準備をしてくださいました。そして、普段使用している道具も見せてくれるのみならず、実際に触れさせてくださいました！ありがとうございました！その日の午後、クラスディスカッションとワークシートを使い、Doctorについてレビューをしました。沢山のシューティングさんが将来Doctorになりたい！と言っていました！頼もしいです！その後のフリープレイでは、Doctorのコスチュームに身を包み、聴診器でお友達の健康をチェックするお友だちもいました。（笑）

Our Music Concert will be taking place next week! Aurora, Shooting Star and Milky Way class practiced together from beginning to the end of the program. On the Music Concert day, we would like to ask all the parents to sing with us. We attached the link of the song below.

来週にミュージックコンサートを控えています。金曜日には、初めから終わりまでの通し練習を、ミルキー、オーロラの3クラスで行いました。当日は、SSさん達と一緒に保護者の方にもお歌を歌っていただきたいと思っています！
