Welcome to a brand new school year! This week, our little learners took their very first steps into the classroom, full of curiosity, excitement, and maybe just a few butterflies.
新しいスクールイヤーへようこそ！
初めて教室に一歩踏み出したレインボーの子どもたち。好奇心とワクワクした気持ち、そして少しのドキドキを胸に、15人揃ってスタートを切りました。
There is so much to learn and many new things to get used to, so it has been a busy week for our Rainbow friends and teachers. As everyone becomes more familiar with school life, each day will become more fun and enjoyable!Everyone did their very best to eat their snacks and lunch by themselves. Independent little learners in the making😉.
朝の用意、ランチの前のお歌、おもちゃの遊び方や先生やお友達の顔と名前など、新しい事がたくさん覚えた、にぎやかで充実した1週間となりました。これから少しずつ園生活に慣れ、毎日がもっと楽しく、心地よいものになっていくことでしょう。
おやつやランチも、みんな自分で食べようと一生懸命がんばりました。少しずつ「自分でできる！」が増えていく、頼もしい姿が見られています😉
Colors topic!
Our topic for the month of April is COLORS, and we dove right into it. Learning color names is promising to be a lot of fun!
4月のトピックは「色（COLORS）」です。さっそく活動に取り組み始めましたよ！色の名前を学ぶのは、とても楽しくなりそうです。
Gym lesson
It’s safe to say that our gym lesson was the highlight of the week! For some of our Rainbow friends, it was their very first time riding the school bus. The bus ride was exciting, the gym lesson was lots of fun, and it was truly a fun-filled day for everyone!
今週のハイライトは、なんといってもジムレッスンでした！レインボークラスのお友だちの中には、スクールバスに乗るのが初めての子もいました。バスの時間は窓から見える景色にワクワクしたり、ジムレッスンでは思いきり体を動かし、楽しいことがぎゅっと詰まった一日となりました！
Our first time playing in the school yard!
Rainbow friends listened carefully to their teacher as she explained how to play safely and happily in the school yard. They then ran around with their friends and enjoyed playing in the sandpit, where they made “chocolate cakes” and a variety of other pretend foods.😋
園庭遊びに出る前には、安全に楽しく遊ぶためのお約束を学びました。その後は、お友だちと一緒に元気いっぱい走り回ったり、砂場で「チョコレートケーキ」を作ったり、さまざまなごっこ遊びを楽しみました😋
Music lesson
We sang songs like “Kobuta” and “Zou-san,” along with a few others. Ms. Nishimura gently taught us how to clap to the rhythm of the piano music. Everyone did their very best, and it was wonderful to see their effort and enthusiasm.
「こぶたぬきつねこ」や「ぞうさん」など、いくつかの日本の歌をみんなで歌いました。西村先生がピアノのリズムに合わせた手拍子の仕方をやさしく教えてくださり、子どもたちも先生の真似をしながら楽しく取り組みました。その頑張りや意欲がとても素晴らしく、微笑ましい時間となりました。みんなとっても上手でしたよ〜😊👏
The week ahead
Next week, we will continue to explore our new environment, make new friends, and enjoy our journey of learning together in English. We are so proud of how everyone is settling in!

Announcements from Rainbow class
クラスからお願いとお知らせです🌈
・オムツは、毎日5枚程度カバンに入れてお持ちください。必要枚数を職員が補充させていただきます。
・オムツ替え用タオルをパジャマ袋に入れてお持ちいただく様ご案内していますが、しばらくパジャマは使用しませんので、オムツ替えタオルのみカバンに入れてお持ちください。オムツのカゴに保管し、毎週金曜日に持ち帰ります。
・汚れた服を持ち帰った際は、新しい着替えと、必ず記名したビニール袋も補充してください。(カバンに入れていただければ職員が補充しますので、お声掛けください！)
・外靴、エプロン、口拭きタオル等、名前が消えていないか、再度確認をお願いいたします。(お友達の物と入れ違いもおこり、申し訳ありませんでした！）
