Hello everyone

Freezing days continue but we are glad they come dressed in layers. We make sure the room is warm enough and cozy for the kids. During outdoor playtime, we ensure that students are moving around and staying active to generate warmth.

This week, we had our last “Open Day” for this school year. Rainbow students were thrilled to see their parents and were eager to show their parents how they were at school. Our circle time was even more lively, with the children’s big voices and everyone actively participating. They spent valuable time with their parents eating snacks together. Parents also had the chance to mingle with each other. We explained about Valentine’s Day, and to show love to their parents, we decided to make a craft showing the children’s growth. We cut the pictures of the four seasons and the students stuck on their photos to each season. A beautiful decoration was done and is ready to hang. To dear parents, it was our pleasure to have you all and see how your children have grown. We are proud of them.

みなさん、こんにちは

寒い日が続いていますが、暖かくして登園してくれているのでありがたいです。教室内も暖かく居心地が良いようにしています。屋外で遊ぶときは、動き回って活発に過ごし、暖かさを生み出せるようにしています。

今週は、今年度最後の「オープンデー（参観日）」でした。レインボーの生徒たちは、親御さんが来てくれたことを喜び、学校での様子を見せたがっていました。サークルタイム（朝の会）は、子ども達の大きな声とみんなの積極的な参加で賑やかなものになりました。両親と一緒におやつを食べる貴重な時間を過ごし、親御さん同士でもお互いに交流する機会がありました。その後の活動ではバレンタインデーについて話し、家族への愛情を示すために子ども達の成長を辿るクラフトを作ることにしました。四季毎に撮り溜めた写真を切り取り、子ども達はそれぞれの季節の絵柄に写真を貼りました。美しい吊るし飾りが完成しました。親愛なる保護者の皆様にご参加いただき、子ども達の成長をご覧頂く事ができ嬉しく思います。私達は子ども達を誇りに思っています。

Rainbow students love participating and standing in front of their friends. In the afternoon circle, we give them chances to share their day. When their names were picked, they came in front and shared their day. This helps build their self confidence as well enhance their English skills.

レインボーの生徒は活動に参加したり、お友だちの前に出て発表したりするのが大好きです。午後のサークルタイムでは、子ども達が、その日の出来事を話す機会を設けています。名前が選ばれると、生徒は前に出てその日の出来事について話します。これは生徒の自信を育み、英語力を高めるのに役立ちます。

This week, Ms. Nakako came to our class for the afternoon circle. Rainbow students were attentive and listened to her book reading. They imitated the animal’s gesture while saying “I can do it!”

今週は、ナカコ先生が午後のサークルに来てくれました。レインボーの生徒たちは、先生の本の朗読に熱心に耳を傾けていました。「I can do it！（できるよ！）」と言いながら、動物のしぐさを真似しました。
