Hello everyone and welcome back to Shooting Star’s weekly blog! Our class had a wonderful week because we had two very special and exciting events and we are so happy to share them with you! 😍

今週、私たちのクラスはとても素敵でワクワクするような2つの特別なイベントがあり、皆さんにそれをシェアできることをとても嬉しく思います！😍

School Open Day is not new for Shooting Star students because every year we have two days wherein parents can come and visit the class, but this is something they are always looking forward to. They welcomed their parents with big smiles and warm greetings and surprised them with a very lively and energetic singing and dancing during our morning circle time. Since we’ve been talking about family roles, we thought that it’s a good idea to make a Thank You card for their parents to show their appreciation to them for the things they are doing for their families. Parents watched their children share their ideas about their family roles and how they made the card. When they finished making it, they stood up and said thank you to their parents. “Thank you mom and dad for … (working, cleaning, cooking, etc.) 🥰

年に２，３回あるスクール・オープンデーはSSさんたちににとってはもうおなじみの行事ですが、毎年とても楽しみにしているイベントの一つです。
子どもたちは大きな笑顔とあたたかい挨拶で保護者の皆さんを迎え、朝のサークルタイムでは元気いっぱいの歌とダンスでサプライズをしました！

最近は「家族の役割」について学んでいたので、自分たちの家族のために頑張ってくれている保護者の方々に感謝の気持ちを伝える「ありがとうカード」を作ることにしました。保護者の方々は、お子さんがどんなふうに家族の役割について考え、どんな気持ちでカードを作ったのかを見守っていました。
カードが完成すると、子どもたちは立ち上がって、「お母さん、お父さん、ありがとう！（仕事、掃除、料理など）」と感謝の言葉を伝えました。🥰

This coming Sunday is the celebration of Father’s Day and we made a card for our loving and hardworking fathers. They used their scissor cutting skills to cut out the necktie they will use to decorate the card. They also made the message colorful by coloring the letters with their favorite colors. Happy Father’s Day to all dads out there! 👪

今週の日曜日は「父の日」のお祝いがあります！そこで、私たちは愛情深くて一生懸命働いてくれているお父さんたちのためにカードを作りました。子どもたちはハサミを使ってネクタイの形を切り取り、カードの飾りにしました。また、メッセージの文字は、自分の好きな色でカラフルに塗って、とても素敵に仕上げました。すべてのお父さんたちへ、「Happy Father’s Day！」👪

On Thursday, we traveled to Gojo campus with Savannah friends for our scheduled playdate. They are very happy to meet our old friends who are now in grade 1 and grade 2 classes. They really enjoyed playing with them and catching insects and bugs in the schoolyard. We are so proud of how the preschoolers and elementary students worked together and cared for each other while enjoying their time together. It was such a memorable and the best day for everyone. Students got tired but one thing is for sure, they all had so much fun!🤩Thank you very much, Gojo campus and Savannah friends.😍

木曜日には、予定されていたプレイデートのために、サバンナのお友だちと一緒に五常キャンパスへ行ってきました。子どもたちは、今は小学1年生や2年生になっている以前のお友だちと再会できて、とても嬉しそうでした。一緒に遊んだり、校庭で虫取りをしたりして、本当に楽しい時間を過ごしました。
プレスクールのお友達と小学生たちが協力し合い、思いやりをもって一緒に遊ぶ姿を見て、私たちはとても誇らしく思いました。みんなにとって忘れられない最高の一日となりました。たくさん遊んで疲れたけれど、楽しい思い出がたくさんできたことは間違いありません！🤩 五常キャンパスのみなさん、そしてサバンナのお友だち、本当にありがとうございました！😍

We are about to finish the first unit of inquiry next week. Students will be interviewing their parents about family roles. Please have a chat with your children about why you need to do your roles in the family and how they can help you. Starting next week, we will begin mud play instead of going to the park. Please don’t forget to prepare and bring your mud play clothes. Thank you for your continued support and have a wonderful weekend!🥰

来週で、最初の探究ユニットが終わります。最後の活動として、子どもたちはご家族の役割について保護者の方にインタビューをします。ぜひこの週末、お子さんと一緒に「家族の中でなぜその役割が必要なのか」「子どもたちがどのようにお手伝いできるか」についてお話ししてみてください。

また、来週からは公園に行く代わりに「どろんこ遊び」を始めます。どろんこ遊び用の服をご用意いただき、忘れずに持たせてくださいね。いつもご協力ありがとうございます。素敵な週末をお過ごしください！🥰
