Greetings,
Welcome to our second blog for the month of June.
This week, we embarked to our new theme which is about sea animals. We have been singing, Ponyo, Baby Shark, and The Sailor Went to Sea. Rainbow class enjoyed singing while learning the vocabulary for sea animals with flashcards like jellyfish, shrimp, seal, starfish, octopus, shark, etc. After introducing to students the names of sea animals, we carried out a catching sea animals activity with various sea creatures and a fishing rod with a magnet attached. Rainbow students had so much fun catching the sea animals in a big basin and saying their names in front of the class. We also added some sea animals puzzles and shadow matching activity at our workstation where Rainbow students can freely explore by themselves. On top of that, students enjoyed hiding in a super big shark display in the class.

Aside from being preoccupied in the classroom, we were also engaged in outside exploration and play. We immersed ourselves into different learning opportunities like running, playing with a ball and a ring, playing in the sandpit and tire swings together, taking a short walk, popping bubbles, a free conversation with teachers and friends and caressing flowers. We loved learning through hands-on experience in nature.

Thank you, Ms. Amanda for hosting the birthday party this month. Rainbow students enjoyed making the cake and witnessing your Abra Cadabra magic.

We have been practicing some English phrases that we used in our daily school life and if possible, please practice them also at home. Phrases like Good morning, I’m here, Open please (when they can’t open their snack), Thank you, Dessert please, Help me please, and See you tomorrow. I attached on this blog the songs that we sing in Rainbow class.
Have a wonderful weekend, everyone.
