Sending my love to someone special! – Aurora(3/2-6)

Hello everyone!

Another wonderful week has passed, filled with lots of learning and many happy faces.

みなさんこんにちは！今週もたくさんの学びとハッピーフェイスに溢れた一週間でした。

March 3rd was Hinamatsuri (Girls’ Day) in Japan. While wishing for everyone’s healthy growth, the children continued working on their Hinamatsuri craft. They added hair and hair ornaments to the faces of the Ohinasama and Odairisama, drew their expressions, and created beautiful kimonos using colorful origami paper.

It was lovely to see how carefully the children worked—watching the folding example closely, folding their paper neatly, and applying glue little by little. Moments like these really reminded us how much they have grown over the past year 😊 Once their dolls were finished, they attached them to the decorated background they stamped last week, completing their beautiful Hinamatsuri artwork!

3月3日はひな祭りでしたね。みんなが健康にすくすく大きくなることを願い、工作の続きをしました。おひなさまとおだいりさまのお顔に髪の毛と髪飾りを貼り、顔を描いて、きれいな折り紙で着物を作りました。お手本の折り方を見て、丁寧に折ったり、のりを少しずつ丁寧に塗る姿が見られ、そんなところもこの一年で成長したなぁと感じました😊それぞれのお人形が完成したら、先週スタンピングをした台紙に貼り付けて完成！

We also visited the Milky Way class, our older friends who will soon be graduating 🎵 The children enjoyed playing musical chairs and another game where they formed groups according to the number of whistle sounds. During musical chairs, both Aurora and Milky Way friends played very seriously! Some children were disappointed and even shed a few tears 😿 but they continued cheering for their friends and showed a wonderful open-minded spirit. To finish our visit, we sang our precious song, “A Little Love,” as a small gift for the Milky Way class. Thank you for playing with us!

もうすぐ卒園してしまうMilky Wayのお兄さん、お姉さんたちのクラスへ遊びに行きました🎵みんなが大好きな椅子取りゲームや、笛が鳴った数でグループを作るゲームを楽しみました。椅子取りゲームでは、オーロラさんもミルキーさんもみんな真剣！悔しくて涙が出る子も😿それでも残ったお友達を応援して、Open-mindedな姿を見せてくれました。最後には、みんなの大好きな歌「A Little Love」をプレゼントしました♡Milky Wayのみんな、遊んでくれてありがとう♪

This week we also went to the postbox to mail the postcards the children made themselves. The children were excited to send them to someone special—“to my grandpa and grandma,” “to my friend,” “to my teacher,” “to my dad,” and even “to myself!” Everyone was eager for their postcards to arrive.

The post office is a little farther past the park we often visit, so we walked there together with our friends from the Shooting Star class. The Aurora kids were very happy to hold hands with the slightly older boys and girls. After waving and sayng ”See you later!” to Shooting Star friends at the park, we continued on to the post office.

At the traffic light, everyone stopped properly, raised their hands, and crossed the street safely. Once we arrived, each child carefully placed their postcard into the mailbox, making a wish for it to reach their special person. Perhaps we’ll hear some happy “It arrived!” messages this weekend or early next week!

On the way back, we spent a little time playing at the park before walking back to school again with the Shooting Star class. The Aurora kids walked a longer distance than usual and did a fantastic job!

そして今週は、自分達で作ったポストカードをポストへ投函しに行ってきました！「じいじとばあばに送るの」「お友達に」「先生に」「お父さんに」「自分自身に」など、みんなの大好きな人へ届けるのが待ちきれない様子でした。郵便局は、よく行く公園の少し先にあります。公園まで、Shooting Starのお友達と一緒に手をつないで歩いて行きました。いつもと違う、一つ上のお兄さんお姉さんと、嬉しそうに手をつないでいましたよ。公園でまたね、とシューティングさんに手を振り、さあ郵便局まであと少し。信号ではしっかり止まり、手をあげて渡りました。さて郵便局に到着。一人ずつ、大切な人へ届きますようにと願いを込めて、ポストイン！さて、この週末、または週明けに「届いたよ～」と連絡があるかな？？帰りは公園で少しの時間でしたが遊具遊びを楽しみ、またシューティングさんと手をつないで帰ってきました。いつもより長い距離を歩いたオーロラさん達。とってもよく頑張りました！！

We also had a fire evacuation drill this week. The children listened carefully to the teachers and evacuated calmly while remembering the important safety rule: no pushing, no running, no talking, no going back and cover your mouth.

火事を想定した避難訓練もありました。先生の話をしっかり聞くことができたオーロラさん達。「おはしもて」の約束を守って避難できました。

There are only a few weeks left for the Aurora class. They are becoming more confident each day in taking care of their own things, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow as they prepare to move up to the next class.

年少さんとして過ごす期間もあと少し。自分のことは自分で、がとてもしっかりできてきています。しっかりと自信をつけて、年中さんへ向かっていきたいですね。

One afternoon after nap time, we noticed something wonderful. The children had folded their pajamas so neatly! ✨ And the best part was that no one told them to do it—they did it all on their own. Amazing! ✨
