Last Sunday was Mother’s Day! I hope you received love and appreciation from your children. We began by asking our students, “What does your mother do for you? “
“My mom cooks me dinner! It tastes so good!” She says I love you! She washes my clothes! She drives me to school🚙. Now, when I asked them what they wanted to say to their favorite mothers, they said, “Thank you ! Ilove you❤️”Using their improved scissors skills and colored pencils that they can now hold correctly, they made a message card and flowers.
先週の日曜日は母の日でしたね！お子さんからの愛と感謝を受け取っていただけたでしょうか？私たちはまず、「お母さんはあなたのためにどんなことをしてくれる？」と子どもたちに聞いてみました。
「ママはご飯を作ってくれる！とてもおいしいんだよ！」「I love you って言ってくれる！」「僕の服を洗ってくれる！」「スクールまで車で送ってくれる🚙」と様々な声が上がりました。さて、そんな大好きなお母さんたちに何て伝えたいか尋ねると「Thank you !I love you ❤️」とのこと。上手になったハサミを使う技術と正しく持てるようになった色鉛筆を使って、メッセージカードとお花を作りました。
For our U.O.I., we are moving our learning forward to LOI2“Family members have different roles”. We asked our students, “What do your fathers and mothers do at home?” They responded,”Cooking!” “Laundry,” “Cleaning,” “Playing with me,” and “Going to work.” This week we learned the names of the main chores and made a chart with stickers to show who in the family does them.
When we asked, “Who cleans up the toys? Most students answered, “I do it! but there were some who said their father or mother would do it. When I asked, “Who does the cooking in your family?” and some students said”I always help my mother! “and put a sticker on the child’s role.
Thank you for sending us the photos of the unit. We would appreciate it if you could provide us with pictures of your family members doing chores or working for the family so that the children can become aware of their roles in the family. Starting next week, we would like to use the photos you bring to introduce the roles of family members in front of everyone, such as “my mom vacuums” or “my dad goes to work”. (If you have not yet sent in your photos, please do so by the end of next Monday.)
U.O.IではLOI2”Family members have different roles”へと学びを進めています。お父さんやお母さんはどんなことをしているのかな？と聞いてみました。「お料理！」「洗濯」「掃除」「一緒に遊んでくれる」「仕事に行く」などの答えが返ってきました。今週は主に家事の名前を知り、それを家族の誰がやっているのかシールを貼って表を作ってみました。
「おもちゃの片付けは誰がする？」と聞くとほとんどの子は自分がやる！と答えましたが、お父さんやお母さんにやってもらうという子もいました。「誰が料理をするの？」と聞くと「私はいつもお母さんを手伝っているんだ！」と言って子どもの役割のところにシールを貼る子もいました。
ユニットに関して写真を送っていただきありがとうございます。家族の役割について子どもたちが気づくことができるように、お家の方が家事をしているところ、または家族のためにお仕事をしているところのお写真をご用意いただけますと幸いです。来週からはご持参いただいた写真を使い、「私のお母さんは掃除機をかけます」「私のお父さんは仕事に行きます」など、お家の方の役割をみんなの前で紹介したいと思います。（お写真まだの方は来週月曜日中にぜひお送りください）
We had a birthday party for our friends born in May. Ms.Grenda made it fun by playing a game of pin the tail on the donkey. O and M, Happy 5th birthday!🎂
5月生まれのお友達のお誕生日会がありました。Ms.Grendaがドンキーのしっぽをつけるゲームで楽しませてくれました！Oちゃん、Mくん、５歳のお誕生日おめでとう🎂
