We had a fun last week of Shooting Star! 🌟

Some fun time highlights include going to the park near Donki store with Milky Way and Aurora, and watching Minions with Aurora. 🎬 We spent a lot of time at the park enjoying time with students from the other classes. 🛝😊

先週の「シューティングスター」はとっても楽しかったです！🌟

特に楽しかったのは、ミルキーウェイやオーロラと一緒にドン・キホーテの近くの公園へ行ったことや、オーロラと『ミニオンズ』を観たことです。🎬 公園では、他のクラスの生徒たちと一緒に過ごす時間をたっぷり楽しみました。🛝😊

Some learning highlights included work stations, where we chose work independently and completed it through self motivation. We also showed great collaboration and communication when doing work station activities together. 🤝

学習のハイライトとしては、各自が自主的に課題を選び、自発的に取り組んで完了させる「ワークステーション」活動が挙げられます。また、ワークステーションの活動を一緒に行う際には、素晴らしい協力とコミュニケーションが見られました。🤝

Some of us even did work outside of this time, such as morning and quiet time, through our own choice, showing self drive to learn. 💪📚

中には、朝の時間や静かな時間など、この時間外にも自主的に学習に取り組み、学ぶ意欲を見せた生徒もいました。💪📚

We also did a transdisciplinary art/math lesson, looking at shapes in artwork and then using shapes to make our own art. 🎨🔺🟦

また、芸術と数学を融合させた授業も行い、作品の中の形を観察した後、その形を使って自分たちで作品を作りました。🎨🔺🟦

We also enjoyed a wonderful storytelling event and book swap. Ms. Jhey told the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, which is also one of Ms. Felicity’s favourite fables. 🐐📖 After listening, we got creative and made our own billy goat crafts using paper plates. We then took part in a book swapping event, which is a great way to read more while also being economical with books—waste not, want not! ♻️✨

We are using a lot of English in class now and with our peers. We are putting effort into our work, our confidence is growing, and with it our motivation. 🌱✨

また、素晴らしい読み聞かせイベントと本の交換会も楽しみました。ジェイ先生が『三匹のヤギ』の物語を読んでくださいました。これはフェリシティ先生のお気に入りの寓話の一つでもあります。🐐📖 話を聞いた後は、紙皿を使って自分だけのヤギの工作を作り、創造力を発揮しました。その後は本の交換会に参加しました。これは、本を無駄にせず節約しながら、より多くの本を読むことができる素晴らしい方法です——無駄を省けば、不足することはありません！♻️✨

現在、授業中や仲間との会話で、私たちはたくさん英語を使っています。学習に真剣に取り組み、自信がつき、それに伴ってやる気も高まっています。🌱✨

Another special part of our learning is taking time to look back at our portfolios and all the work we have done. 📂✨ This gives us a chance to reflect and see how much we have improved over time. Seeing their own progress is very important for children, as it helps build confidence and a sense of achievement. When children look at work from a time when they felt they couldn’t do something, and then compare it to work they can now complete successfully, it becomes highly motivating. 🌱💪 It shows them that effort, practice, and persistence really do make a difference.

We encourage you to look through your child’s portfolio and phonics work with them and talk about the improvements they have made. Celebrate their progress and praise the effort they have put in, as this helps strengthen their motivation and love for learning. 🌟

私たちの学びのもう一つの特別な点は、ポートフォリオやこれまでに取り組んできたすべての作品をじっくりと振り返る時間をとることです。📂✨ これにより、自分自身の成長を振り返り、時間をかけてどれだけ上達したかを実感する機会が得られます。自分の進歩を目にすることは、子どもたちにとって非常に重要です。それは自信と達成感を育む助けとなるからです。かつて「自分にはできない」と感じていた頃の作品と、今では無事に完成させられる作品とを比較することで、子どもたちは大きなやる気を得ることができます。🌱💪 それは、努力、練習、そして粘り強さが、本当に大きな違いを生むことを彼らに示してくれるのです。
