It is the brand new month and is getting humid than before, while summer is here and it is the opportunity to introduce our kids to outdoor activity and summer related topics/theme. With that being said, it is all about Water! Our monthly theme for this month is Sea Animals. We introduced them the common sea animals in flashcards at first so that they can learn the names and how does it looks like in a picture. We have learned these sea animals so far : Fish, shark, whale, seahorse, jellyfish, octopus, and crab. We also turned our classroom wall into an aquarium with variety of sea animals, Rainbow kids loved it! and they cant stop talking about it.

梅雨の時期になり、雨が多く、暑さ、蒸し暑さが増してきたように感じます。雨の日が続き公園、お散歩、園庭遊びがなかなかできませんが室内で体操、歌やダンスをしながら身体を動かして過ごしています。
今月の学習テーマは”海の生き物の名前”、”フォニックスC,Dから始まる単語”、会話では”help me please””feeling”です。フラッシュカード、歌、本などを使用し楽しく学んでいきたいと思います。
そして今月から園庭での水遊びも始まりました！
今月のテーマである海の生き物の名前を楽しく学びました。
フラッシュカードを使い海の生き物を紹介していき、本や、映像、水族館などで見たことがある生き物が沢山でてきた時には、レインボーのお友だちも大興奮でした。今週は、絵を見ながら魚、サメ、クジラ、タツノオトシゴ、クラゲ、タコやカニ！の形や名前、発音を学びました。そしてクラスの壁に海の生き物を貼り水族館の様にもしてみました。壁を見てfish,sharkと指を差しお友達と楽しそうに見ています。
For the sea animals songs, we sang “Sailor went to sea”, “Baby shark” and “Under the Sea”.

の3曲を練習しています。
お子様と一緒にお家でも歌ってみてください。
“Baby shark” は大人気で振り付きで毎回歌い、踊っていますよ！
As we mentioned earlier, the weather is getting hotter. We strongly advise our kids to keep hydrated and drink more water. Speaking of water, we also had our outdoor pool activity this week! we get them to change their swimsuit in the class and explain the rules such as no pushing, no diving, no pouring the water and enjoy playing in the pool! We also did some stretches and took shower before entering the pool. We have two pools in our school, the big one is for the kids who had permission from their parents to enter the pool and the small pool is for the kids who have no permission, all kids still get to play. The Rainbow kids totally enjoyed playing with water and they look forward to it everyday!
毎日蒸し暑い日が続いていますので、水分をしっかり取りながら過ごしていきたいと思います。今月から始まった園庭での水遊びの様子です。
朝は曇っていて少し肌寒かったですが、徐々にお日様が顔を出し、日差しも強くなり園庭での水遊びができる様になりました！”今日は園庭で水遊びをします”と伝えるとみんな大喜び！早速水着に着替えて、外へ！先ずは先生から水遊びの時のお約束の説明を聞いて、準備運動、シャワーあびいざプールへ！今回は大きいプールと、小さいプールを用意し、小さいプールは見学のお友達も少しお水で遊べるようにしました。両方のプールではお友達の笑顔、歓声が終始堪えませんでした。お水遊びがすごく楽しかった様で毎日やりたいと言ってるお友達もいました。お天気が良い日には園庭での水遊びも沢山できたらと思います。
The Star festival is this week too! Our Rainbow kids took part in celebrating the event by coloring! We printed out the picture and they choose their favorite colors to put on it. We first instruct them to share the crayons and only take one crayon at a time. They learned to share to be responsible to the crayons that they used. Besides that, since our theme is sea animals this month, we also designed our very own sea turtle! Each of them showed us their favorite colors on their pictures and it was amazing to see each work is unique in their ways. Well Done Rainbow! Their works will be displayed at the wall in front of the classroom, please do check them out!
今週、7月7日は七夕でした。
短冊にお子様の願い事を書いてお持ち頂きありがとうございました。
bookコーナー反対側に笹を用意し、笹に短冊を飾ってあります。
七夕のクラフトでは、おり姫様、ひこぼし様の塗り絵をしました。好きな色を使い、思い思いに色をつけていきました。もちろんお友だちとクレヨンのシェアーも忘れずにできました。使ったクレヨンは元の位置に戻してから、次のクレヨンを選ぶ！みんな上手にシェアーしながら塗り絵をする事ができました。
今週は、もう一つ塗り絵をしました。今月のテーマである海の生き物の中からカメの塗り絵に挑戦しました。好きな色を沢山使い、個性豊かな可愛いカメ、カッコいいカメ、カラフルなカメ、強そうなカメなど色々な表情のカメが出来上がりました。作品を嬉しそうにお友だち、先生にみせてくれました。
七夕の作品は、廊下の壁に飾ってありますのでご覧ください。
カメの作品も準備が出来次第、廊下の壁に飾っていきますのでもうしばらくお待ちください。
In this month, we also learned how to express and say our feeling in every morning. We first asked “How are you?” and they will tell us their feelings (I am good, great, wonderful, tired, hungry and not so good). All of them did a great job! We also sang a song relate to feelings, it is called “Hello!”. Dear parents, please do practice the song with your kids and get them to tell you their feeling.
今月のテーマでもあるfeeling,気持ち！をどう伝え、どう表現するのか学んでいます。
モーニングサークル時に歌っているhello songの中に色々な表現がでてきます。
(I am good, great, wonderful, tired, hungry and not so good)
みんなで歌い終わった後に、”how are you?”と先生に尋ねられ今の気持ちを答える練習をしています。初めは恥ずかしそうにしていましたが、今では元気にIm Good!と大きな声で答えられるようになってきました。
お時間がある時に、お子様と一緒に歌い、How are you?とお子様に聞いてみてください、どんな答えが返ってくるのかも楽しみですよね。

今週は、運動会がありました！子どもたちも元気いっぱい練習した成果をそれぞれのクラスごとに見せてくれました。皆さまと一緒に楽しく無事、運動会を終える事ができました。
保護者の皆さまには、朝からの準備、親子競技への参加、子どもたちの応援と沢山のご協力をいただきましたことに感謝申しあげます。
