Hello everyone!

For the UOI, we continued presenting our drawing, enumerating the family members, how many brothers we have, what our favorite thing to do or bond as a family is, and more. Some students were eager to share about their families and their favorite bonds, while others were still shy and hesitant to stand in front of the class. Shooting star students were happy to ask questions, even if they were unrelated to our topic.

UOIでは、家族構成、兄弟の数、好きなことや家族との絆などを挙げながら、今週も絵の発表を続けました。家族や好きなことについて熱心に話すおともだちもいれば、まだ恥ずかしがってクラスの前に立つのをためらうおともだちもいました。シューティングたさんちは、今回のテーマではない質問であっても、喜んでたくさんの質問をしてくれました。

Koinobori (鯉のぼり) are traditional Japanese carp-shaped windsocks flown to celebrate Children’s Day on May 5th. These colorful streamers are usually made of cloth or paper and resemble koi fish (carp), symbolizing strength, courage, and perseverance in Japanese culture. We made a craft using the toilet tissue core for the fish body, designing it with different colors of circle-shaped paper, and sticking it. We also used colorful soft paper for the tail. We used fish-shaped white paper stuck with colorful circular paper for Aurora kids.

こいのぼりは、5月5日の「こどもの日」を祝うために揚げられる日本の伝統的な鯉ので形をしたのぼりです。カラフルなのぼりは布や紙でできていて、鯉は日本文化において「強さ」「勇気」「忍耐」を象徴しています。シューティングさんたちはトイレットペーパーの芯を魚の体に使い、さまざまな色の丸い紙でデザインして貼り付ける工作をしました。そして、しっぽにはカラフルな柔らかい紙を使いました。オーロラさんは魚の形をした白い紙に、カラフルな丸い紙を貼り付けました。

We were thrilled when we had time to play in the park. Our happiness was impossible to miss the moment we arrived. Their eyes lit up with excitement, and laughter bubbled as they ran ahead, eager to explore every corner.

公園へ行って遊ぶ時間がある日は、私たちはみんな大喜びでした。到着した瞬間の喜びはひとしおです。みんなの目は好奇心で光り輝き、笑い声があふれ出し、公園の隅から隅まで探検したくてたまらない様子で走りまわりました。
