Hello, everyone!
We embarked on an exciting bus trip to Suzaka Zoo, and what a fantastic adventure it turned out to be!
The weather was just right: not too hot, with a pleasant breeze and soft sunlight that made it perfect for walking around outdoors.
Our first stop was the playground. We got to enjoy the zipline, the slides, the pretend bus and firetruck rides, and more! After half an hour, we were directed to the zoo where a very special surprise was waiting for us. We were greeted by a friendly veterinarian who took the time to tour us around the farm animal section. We were thrilled to meet goats, sheep, ponies, ducks, chickens and a rooster, a reindeer, and even a curious llama! The vet shared fun facts about each animal, explaining how he takes care of them and what they eat, and how old they are, which fascinated everyone. Did you know that one of the ponies is 36 years old, which is equivalent to a hundred-year-old human?! Amazing!
皆さん、こんにちは！ 須坂動物園へのワクワクするバス旅行に出発しました。
本当に素晴らしい冒険になりました！ 天気は最高でした。暑すぎず、心地よい風と柔らかな日差しで、外を散策するのにぴったりでした。
最初の目的地は遊具でした。ジップライン、スライダー、ごっこ遊びのバスや消防車など、色々なアトラクションを楽しみました！30分後、動物園へ案内されました。そこでは特別なサプライズが待っていました。フレンドリーな獣医師が出迎えてくれ、時間をかけて動物エリアを案内してくれました。ヤギ、ヒツジ、ポニー、アヒル、ニワトリ、ニワトリ、ニワトリ、トナカイ、そして好奇心旺盛なラマにも会えて大興奮！獣医師はそれぞれの動物について、どのように世話をしているのか、何を食べているのか、年齢はどれくらいなのかなど、楽しいエピソードを教えてくれ、みんな興味津々でした。ポニーのうち1頭は36歳、人間で言うと100歳に相当する年齢だということをご存知ですか？すごいですね！
After the farm animals, we explored the rest of the zoo and discovered even more incredible creatures. We saw majestic tigers relaxing in the shade, a colorful peacock proudly displaying its feathers, and elegant flamingos standing gracefully on one leg. One of the highlights was the black-tailed prairie dogs—so cute, quick, and fun to watch as they stared at us, looking like the ones that were preserved because they were not moving for a long time.
We also saw an exhibit with preserved animals that underwent taxidermy, which offered a closer look at creatures such as the giant anteater. This was a unique learning opportunity, allowing us to understand what preservation means and how preserving animals helps people of a young age and future generations know them.
農場で見られる動物たちを見た後、動物園の他の場所も探検し、さらに素晴らしい生き物たちに出会いました。木陰でくつろぐ雄大なトラ、誇らしげに羽を広げた色鮮やかな孔雀、そして片足で優雅に立つ優雅なフラミンゴなど、様々な動物たちを目にしました。中でも特に印象的だったのは、オグロメジロプレーリードッグ。私たちをじっと見つめる姿は、とても可愛くて機敏で、見ているだけで楽しかったです。まるで長い間動かずにいたため、剥製にされた動物のようでした。
また、剥製にされた保存動物の展示も見学しました。オオアリクイなどの生き物を間近で見ることができました。これは、保存とは何か、そして動物の保存が若い世代や未来の世代にその動物を知ってもらうためにどのように役立つのかを理解する、貴重な学習機会となりました。
After we visited the zoo, we headed back to the rest area where we ate our lunch! We sat next to our friends, showed our lunch, and chatted while eating.
動物園を見学した後は、休憩所に戻ってランチを食べました！友達の隣に座って、お弁当を見せたり、おしゃべりしながら食べました。
After lunch, we headed to the playground again, where laughter and cheers filled the air as we climbed, swung, slid, and played games together. It was the perfect way to round out the day—with fresh air, friendship, and fun.
昼食後、再び遊び場へ向かいました。登ったり、ブランコに乗ったり、滑ったり、一緒にゲームをしたりしながら、笑い声と歓声が辺りに満ち溢れていました。新鮮な空気、友情、そして楽しい時間。一日を締めくくるには最高の時間でした。
By the time we got back on the bus, everyone was smiling and a little bit tired, but full of memories that will last a long time. It was a day of learning, laughter, and exploring the world beyond the classroom.
