Our morning circle is a busy and meaningful start to the day. The teacher assistants have been thinking and practicing writing the Question of the Day independently, carefully thinking about writing mechanics such as capitalization, punctuation, and spelling. It’s wonderful to see them growing more confident as writers and taking pride in their work. Friends answer the question and share more about their experiences.

During this time, our teacher assistant also leads the class in reading sight words. Friends are encouraged to use a sight word in a sentence, helping them remember how to read the word and understand its meaning. These simple routines support both literacy skills and confidence, making our morning circle a calm and purposeful way to begin learning together.

モーニングサークルは、忙しくも有意義な一日の始まりです。ティーチャーアシスタントの皆さんは、大文字の使い方、句読点、スペルといったライティングのテクニックを注意深く考えながら、自主的に「今日の質問」を書く練習をしてきました。彼らがライターとして自信を深め、自分の仕事に誇りを持っているのを見るのは素晴らしいことです。友達は質問に答え、それぞれの体験について共有してくれます。

この時間には、アシスタントティーチャーがサイトワードの読み方を指導します。友達はサイトワードを文章の中で使うように促され、単語の読み方と意味の理解を促されます。これらのシンプルなルーティンは、読み書きのスキルと自信の両方を育み、朝のサークル活動を穏やかで意義のある、一緒に学びを始める良い機会にしています。

Snowman Craft Fun ☃️

The children enjoyed a hands-on craft activity as they created their own snowmen using white paper, toilet paper cores, yarn, and other materials. They explored different ways to decorate their snowmen, using their creativity and fine motor skills. It was lovely to see each child’s snowman turn out unique and full of personality!

子どもたちは、白い紙、トイレットペーパーの芯、毛糸などを使って、自分だけの雪だるまを作るという、体験型の工作を楽しみました。子どもたちは、創造力と細かい運動能力を活かし、雪だるまの飾り方をいろいろと試していました。子どもたち一人ひとりが個性豊かでユニークな雪だるまに仕上がったのを見るのは、とても楽しかったです！

Dance Lesson Highlights 💃🕺

We had a fun and energetic dance lesson as the children learned new dance steps together. It was a great start, filled with movement, laughter, and excitement. To end the lesson, everyone enjoyed going around in circles using the rainbow parachute, making the experience even more joyful and memorable for the children.

子どもたちが一緒に新しいダンスステップを学ぶ、楽しくエネルギッシュなダンスレッスンでした。動き、笑い、そして興奮に満ちた、素晴らしいスタートとなりました。レッスンの最後には、みんなでレインボーパラシュートを使ってぐるぐる回り、子どもたちにとってさらに楽しく思い出深い体験となりました。

Japanese Lesson Focus

In our Japanese lesson, the children have been practicing writing hiragana characters. They are encouraged to write neatly and follow the correct stroke order while working independently at their own tables. This activity supports concentration and focus, as the children work toward completing their writing goal with care and effort.

Outdoor Play Time ☀️❄️

After the snow, we enjoyed the lovely weather by spending time playing outside. The children had fun exploring and playing together with other friends, sharing laughter and movement in the fresh air. It was a great opportunity to enjoy nature and social time together.

雪が降った後、私たちは外で遊んで素晴らしい天気を満喫しました。子どもたちは新鮮な空気の中で、他の友達と探検したり遊んだり、笑い合ったり体を動かしたりして楽しんでいました。自然と交流を楽しむ素晴らしい機会となりました。
