As the days grow longer and the sun shines a little brighter, we can feel a wonderful change in the air—warmth is returning, and with it, so many things to celebrate.

Outside, jackets are being left behind as we run freely under the open sky. The playground is full of laughter, with soccer balls rolling, jump ropes swinging, and chalk drawings spreading across the pavement like little masterpieces. It feels so good to move, play, and breathe in the fresh air after a long, chilly season.

日が長くなり、太陽の光が少しずつ明るくなるにつれ、空気の素晴らしい変化を感じます。暖かさが戻り、お祝いすべきこともたくさんあります。

外では、ジャケットはもう脱ぎ捨て、広い空の下を自由に走り回ります。遊び場は笑い声でいっぱいで、サッカーボールが転がり、縄跳びが揺れ、チョークで描かれた絵がまるで小さな傑作のように舗道に広がっています。長く寒い季節が過ぎ、体を動かし、遊び、新鮮な空気を吸うのは、本当に気持ちがいいものです。

This warm weather also brings new friends into our lives. We met our new friends on Monday and they will join us for a month. These sunny days make it easier to smile, share, and open our circle to others.

Inside the classroom, we’re also welcoming new ideas. In team discussions, we listen to each other with open minds. We’re learning that every voice matters and that the best ideas often come when we build something together. To practice what we have been discussing, we played a game where we had to transfer the paper cup from one table to another without touching it or moving the table. We talked and planned on how we were going to achieve the goal. We used paper to transfer the cup without touching it. The Goggles team won the first challenge. The second challenge was to use a pencil to transfer the cup. Each team used different strategies to achieve the goal. For the Dive team, one of us poked the paper cup first, then we carried the cup using our pencil from below. For the SkiBas team, the two of us pushed the cup to the edge of the table, then everyone joined to transfer the cup. Then for the Goggles team, one of us used two pencils to carry the cup, then everyone put their pencils in to transfer it to the other side. The Dive team won, followed by the SkiBas, then the Goggles team.

この暖かい気候のおかげで、新しい友達も増えました。月曜日に新しい友達に会い、彼らは1ヶ月間私たちと一緒に過ごしてくれます。この晴れた日々は、笑顔で話したり、分かち合ったり、周りの人たちと交流したりすることを容易にしてくれます。

教室でも、新しいアイデアを歓迎しています。チームディスカッションでは、心を開いてお互いの意見に耳を傾けます。私たちは、すべての意見が大切であること、そして最高のアイデアは、一緒に何かを作り上げていくときに生まれることが多いことを学んでいます。話し合ったことを実践するために、紙コップをテーブルからテーブルへ、触ったりテーブルを動かさずに運ぶゲームをしました。どのように目標を達成するかを話し合い、計画を立てました。紙を使って、紙に触れずにコップを移動させました。最初のチャレンジはゴーグルチームが勝ちました。2番目のチャレンジは鉛筆を使ってコップを運ぶことでした。各チームはそれぞれ異なる戦略で目標を達成しました。ダイブチームは、まず誰かが紙コップを突き、次に鉛筆を使って下からコップを運びました。スキーバスチームは、2人でカップをテーブルの端まで押し出し、その後全員でカップを移動させました。ゴーグルチームは、1人が鉛筆2本を使ってカップを運び、全員が鉛筆をカップの中に入れて反対側に移動させました。結果は、ダイブチームが勝利、続いてスキーバス、ゴーグルチームの順でした。

For our free play time, we enjoyed writing cards, making paper planes, building a kingdom protected by a rocket and fire, playing the ukulele, or playing pretend.

自由遊びの時間には、カードを書いたり、紙飛行機を作ったり、ロケットと火で守られた王国を作ったり、ウクレレを弾いたり、ごっこ遊びをしたりして楽しみました。
