Hello Everyone!
The weather and the temperature nowadays is so unpredictable that it almost seemed like, its gone winter one day then autumn the next. Hope everyone’s keeping healthy and strong with the sudden shifts this season brings.
This week was yet again packed with fun activities, kids were busy the whole week from halloween preparations, outdoor play time, walks around the neighborhood, birthday celebration, our usual gym and music class and the highlight of the week is the Puppet Show that we watched at school.
最近の天気と気温は予測不能で、まるで一日で冬から秋に変わったかのようです。季節の急な変化の中でも、皆様が健康で元気に過ごされていますように。
今週も楽しい活動でいっぱいでした。子どもたちはハロウィンの準備、屋外遊び、近所のお散歩、誕生日のお祝い、いつもの体操教室や音楽教室で忙しく過ごしました。そして今週のハイライトは、スクールで観た人形劇です。
Halloween 🎃 👻
It’s days away ’til halloween party. I asked the kids what costume will they wear on halloween day? Some sort of have an idea, most of them are clueless (hehehe so cute) then there’s also a few who fought over the topic of halloween costume, one student said she will come as a princess then the other said I will be a princess too but the other one said your a boy you can’t be a princess. Kids like to copy each other, be like their friends so much so that they forgot their limitations and they also most of the time don’t understand things. Thankfully with the help of the teacher things got resolved and they calmed down. (I call this funny learning moments)
This week kids made some Halloween craft. They made the scariest spider ever! We are done with our pumpkin 🎃 piñata and we practiced our dance daily. I guess we are halloween ready. I Hope you guys are too?!
ハロウィンパーティーまであと数日。子どもたちに「ハロウィン当日、どんな仮装をするの？」と聞いてみたところ、何人かはアイデアがあるようだったが、ほとんどの子は全く見当もつかない様子（へへへ、かわいい）。中には仮装の話題で言い争う子もいて、ある生徒が「私はお姫様になる」と言うと、別の生徒が「私もお姫様になる」と言い、さらに別の生徒が「君は男の子だからお姫様になれないよ」と言い返した。子どもたちは友達の真似をしたくてたまらない。自分の限界を忘れ、物事を理解できていないことも多い。幸い先生の助けで事態は収まり、みんな落ち着いた。（私はこれを「笑える学びの瞬間」と呼んでいる）
今週はハロウィン工作をしました。史上最も怖いクモを作ったんですよ！カボチャ🎃ピニャータも完成し、毎日ダンスの練習もしました。これでハロウィン準備万端です。皆さんも準備できていますか？！

Puppet Show 🎭🎪
This week’s highlight – The Puppet Show. Actors, puppeteers and cute puppets came to school. Everyone gathered and watched a wonderful show about ‘おむすびころりん’. I heard that its a popular classic Japanese story for kids. The whole production was very lively and fun from start to finish. Kids can’t help but be mesmerized with the show, they were so focused, they giggled, laughed and they loved the cute puppets. Teachers were quick to remind the kids about the important lessons that we learned. Do you want to be the grumpy old man? or the kind old man? It was such a delight to have special guests come to school and perform this special and classic performance art to kids. With technology dominating our daily lives, it’s nice to showcase the ‘OG’ or old school way of doing things, that is also still very cool, still relevant and still very captivating for both young and old.
今週のハイライト – 人形劇。俳優、人形遣い、そして可愛い人形たちが学校にやってきました。みんなが集まって『おむすびころりん』の素晴らしい舞台を見ました。これは子どもたちに人気の日本の昔話だそうです。最初から最後まで活気にあふれ、とても楽しい舞台でした。子どもたちは魅了され、真剣に見入ったり、クスクス笑ったり、大笑いしたり、可愛い人形たちに夢中になっていました。先生方は、私たちが学んだ大切な教訓を子どもたちにすぐに思い出させてくれました。あなたは不機嫌な老人になりたいですか？それとも親切な老人になりたいですか？特別なゲストが学校に来て、子どもたちにこの特別で古典的なパフォーマンスアートを披露してくれたことは、本当に嬉しいことでした。テクノロジーが日常生活を支配する中、昔ながらの方法、つまり「OG（オリジナル）」のやり方を披露するのは素晴らしいことです。それは今でもとてもクールで、今でも有意義で、老若男女を問わず、今でも非常に魅力的なのです。
Outside Free Play 🍄🌿
Some updates on our daily outdoor adventures. This week, as I’ve previously mentioned, weathers been unpredictable but it never stops us from going out and have our daily walks and our free play outside. Kids are getting used to walking that they look froward to it, they don’t complain, they can endure more walking, they built some strength and stamina, that come nap time we are wondering why are they not spent or tired yet (hehehe). We all love going to the park, on the way there, there’s none stop chatter of things they discover along the way. Everyones so cute and curious, we love our walks and our park free play, we can see and feel the satisfaction the kids have coming back to school. They get tired but they are calmed down after all the outdoor fun, after that they get to enjoy their lunch more.
日々の野外冒険の最新情報です。今週は以前もお伝えした通り、天候は不安定でしたが、それでも毎日のお散歩や屋外での自由遊びを止めることはありません。子どもたちは歩くことに慣れてきて、それを楽しみにしています。文句も言わず、より長く歩けるようになり、体力と持久力もついてきました。お昼寝の時間になっても、なぜまだ疲れていないのか不思議に思うほどです（へへへ）。公園に行くのがみんな大好きで、道中では発見した物について途切れることなくおしゃべりしています。みんな可愛らしく好奇心旺盛で、散歩や公園での自由遊びを心から楽しんでいます。学校に戻ってきた子どもたちの満足感が目に見えて感じられます。疲れてはいますが、屋外での楽しい時間を過ごした後は落ち着き、その後のお昼ご飯をより一層味わえるようです。
