Hello everyone! This week was a bit chilly, but we could still have so much fun playing outside and in the snow during snowy days. Another fun day playing in the snow for us, Rainbows.

皆さん、こんにちは！今週は少し肌寒かったけれど、雪の日は外で雪遊びをするのがとても楽しかったです。今日もレインボーは楽しい雪遊びでした。

Music Lesson

For our music lesson, the teacher showed us pictures of different animals she showed us last week. We also heard those animals’ sounds. We found it more interesting when we listened to the sounds and tried to copy the sounds of the animals, such as cicadas, dogs, cats, frogs, horses, fish, birds, and snakes. We also learned how those animals move, which was the most fun thing to do. Lastly, the teacher gave us different kinds of fruit bells. We danced along with the music and rang the bells.

ミュージックレッスンでは、先生が先週見せてくれたいろいろな動物の写真をまた見せてくれました。また、それらの動物の鳴き声も聞かせてもらいました。セミ、イヌ、ネコ、カエル、ウマ、魚、鳥、ヘビなどの鳴き声を聞き、その鳴き声を真似してみると、より面白いことがわかりました。また、それらの動物がどのように動くのかも学び、それを真似てみるのが一番楽しかったです。最後に、先生がいろいろな種類のフルーツ・マラカスを渡してくれました。子どもたちはリズムに合わせて踊り、マラカスを鳴らしました。

Gym Lesson

We warmed up for the Gym Lesson by making our bodies smaller and walking around. After that, we balanced the cone on top of our heads and tried to walk, which was so tricky for us to do. We lined up nicely and followed our teacher when we felt our bodies were ready to face the obstacles. We did the exact formation of the challenges, and the difference was that this time, we passed through the lined cone in a zigzag way. We did it perfectly!

ジム・レッスンのウォーミングアップで、体を小さくして歩き回りました。その後、三角コーンを頭の上に乗せてバランスをとりながら歩くことに挑戦しました。子どもたちはきれいに整列し、体が動く準備ができたと思ったら先生についていきました。子どもたちは課題のフォーメーションをきれいにこなし、今度は並んだ三角コーンをジグザグに通り抜けました。子どもたちはそれを見事にやり遂げました！

Outside play

This week, we had plenty of time to play outside and enjoyed playing in the snow. Other classes made a snow mountain, and we enjoyed breaking it; others tried to pile more snow. Scooping the snow using a shovel has been our favorite activity lately. Our younger friends also enjoyed making ice cream, parfaits, and more. 

今週は外で遊ぶ時間がたくさんあり、雪遊びを楽しみました。他のクラスは雪山を作り、私たちレインボーはそれを割って楽しみました。シャベルで雪をすくうのが最近のお気に入りです。小さいお友達は、アイスクリーム作りやパフェ作りなども楽しみました。

Monthly Theme (Family)

We familiarized the family members using flashcards. They did an excellent job! They could name the family members nicely and clearly. We also discussed our own family and how many family members we have.

私たちはフラッシュカードを使って、子どもたちに家族のメンバーに慣れ親しんでもらいました。子どもたちは素晴らしいことをやりました！家族の名前をきれいに、はっきりと言うことができました。また、自分たちの家族についても話し合いました。

Birthday Party

For February’s Birthday celebrant, we only have one celebrant, and that was from the Rainbow class. Our little one has just turned 3! We had so much fun playing the game and asking the celebrant what she liked. We were so excited about the cake in the afternoon snack; they talked about it all day since the morning when they entered the classroom and even during lunchtime. Instead of “Good morning!” some asked, “Today is a birthday party, and we will have a cake for a snack, isn’t it?” 😁 Cute little angels who are so excited for the simple things and genuinely make them happy.

2月のバースデー・セレブレーションは、レインボー・クラスから1名のみ。私たちのお友だちは3歳になったばかりです！ゲームをしたり、お誕生のお友だちに好きなものを聞いたりするのがとても楽しかったです。午後のおやつのケーキはとても楽しみでした。朝、教室に入った時から、そしてランチタイムもずっとケーキの話をしていました。「おはようございます！」の代わりに、「今日はお誕生日会で、おやつにケーキを食べるんだよね？」と聞いてくる子もいました。何気ないことにワクワクし、本当に素晴らしく喜んでくれる可愛い天使たち😁。
