Monthly Theme – Farm and Zoo Animals
This week we started learning about the amazing Zoo animals. We learned the names of the animals and we copied the different ways the Zoo animals move. We stomp like the elephant, we slither like the snake, waddle like the penguin or swing like the monkeys. It’s so much fun to play and pretend like wild animals.
We also did farm animals craft. Kids had an amazing time learning the animals through arts.

Kindly check out the videos for this months animal theme. I will be sharing here the link of the videos.
Gym Lesson
We went barefoot during our gym lesson this week. Without shoes and socks we ran in the school ground freely. Being barefoot, kids were able to balance better when using the colorful stepping stones. We jumped, hopped and we felt some heat from the ground but we had loads of fun. Lastly, we did everyone’s favorite which is catch the tail game.

Music Lesson
In music lesson kids pretended to drive a bus using the hoop. Kids drove their bus and followed the background music that was being played, after awhile our bus broke so we needed to fix it, so we stopped and repaired the bus by hitting the hoop while following a beat. It was great to learn music through role playing.
We also used some colorful see through fabric and imagined they were Koi fishes flying in the air, as we sang the “Koinobori” song.

Outside free play
We went to the nearby park and saw lots of bugs this week. Everyone was so curious about bugs. No matter how tiny this bugs are the kids had their full attention on them. We spent some time observing them and kids got a lot of interesting questions. They were so amazed and mesmerized with the tiny strong black ants, what were they up to? and where were they going?. We also saw some dead caterpillars, busy bees flying on white flowers which we avoided of course, kids love chasing the beautiful butterflies and we saw a shy roly poly who kept trying to escape us. Going outside and exploring the nature with the kids was such a delight. Being with the kids is looking at the world around you and seeing it with fresh eyes.
