Hello Everyone!
Time flies, this week we say farewell to November. We are thankful for the golden season that we had, it was filled with lots of fun moments with friends. Coming soon, it’s winter vibes and the festive season as December is just around the corner.
This four days school week, was a busy one, we changed our usual morning routine to make time and prepare for the Christmas Show performance and the Musical Presentation. kids got busy practicing for the show. We had our dress rehearsal, we did our photo shoot, we finalized the groupings and formation for the show, we learned some hand and body movements for their performance, kids learned the opening song of the show too which will be sang by the whole school as well as we learned how to coordinate and take turns in playing the bells and castanets. This little first time performers had been working hard these days but we also balance things, we get some breaks too so kids don’t get bored or too pressured but the important thing is they enjoy themselves so when its showtime they can just be their joyful selves because they already are little stars shining bright bringing the holiday cheers.
みなさん、こんにちは！あっという間に、今週は11月とのお別れです。黄金の季節に感謝しています。友人たちとの楽しい瞬間でいっぱいでした。間もなく、12月が目前に迫り、冬の雰囲気と祝祭の季節がやってきます。今週は4日間の学校週間でしたが、とても忙しく、クリスマスのショーと音楽の発表会の準備をするため、いつもの朝のルーティンを変更しました。子どもたちはショーに向けて練習に励みました。本番前のリハーサルを行い、写真撮影も済ませ、ショーのグループ分けと並び方を確定させました。パフォーマンス用の手や体の動きを覚え、全校で歌うショーのオープニングソングも練習。さらに、ベルやカスタネットの演奏を順番に調整しながら行う方法も学びました。初めての舞台に立つ小さな出演者たちはこのところ一生懸命練習してきましたが、バランスも大切にしています。子どもたちが飽きたりプレッシャーを感じすぎないように休憩も取りながら、何よりも大切なのは彼らが楽しむことです。そうすれば本番の時、彼らはただ自分らしく喜びに満ちた姿を見せられるのです。なぜなら彼らはすでに、休日の喜びを届ける輝く小さなスターだからです。

Monthly Theme – Body Parts
We finalized our theme this week. We concluded it by reviewing the theme, playing a giant puzzle and we finished our final project. Kids finished their Body Parts craft, they made a mini personalized poster of the Parts of my Body, complete with their face parts, their very own hand prints and foot prints. It looked cool and adorable. We will be exploring a new theme by next month.
今週はテーマを仕上げました。テーマの復習、巨大パズル遊びを行い、最終プロジェクトを完了させました。子どもたちは体の部位工作を完成させ、「私の体の部位」というミニ個人用ポスターを作成しました。顔のパーツ、自分だけの手形と足形も添えられており、とてもかわいくて素敵に仕上がりました。来月からは新しいテーマに取り組みます。
Gym Lesson
Kids took a break from the usual Christmas show practice during gym time. Instead everyone had lots of physical exercise, from doing the bear walk, bunny hops, balancing on steps, and lots of running during catch a tail game. Gym time was awesome. Kids got to play actively and they were able to use their excess energy so they got good appetite by lunch time and they can nap better.
子どもたちは、いつものクリスマスショーの練習を休んで、ジムタイムを過ごしました。 その代わりに、みんなたくさん体を動かしました。クマ歩きやウサギ跳び、段差でのバランス取り、そして「しっぽ取りゲーム」での走り回りをしました。ジムタイムは最高でした。子どもたちは活発に遊ぶことができ、余分なエネルギーを使うことができたので、お昼時にはしっかりお腹が空いて、お昼寝もよく眠れました。
Outside Free Play
No matter how busy we are, we still manage to squeeze in some walking time and free play time at the nearby park. Park free play is like a reward for the kids for their hard work this practice season. We can’t resist going outdoors, the weather is so lovely not to do so and the kids just feel more refreshed after every park visits. After playing in the park the school playground feels smaller for some reason. We are just thankful we have parks nearby that we get to go and enjoy it almost everyday.
どんなに忙しくても、近くの公園で散歩や自由遊びの時間を何とか作っています。公園での自由遊びは、練習シーズンに頑張った子どもたちへのご褒美のようなものです。天気が良いのに外に出ないわけにはいかず、公園に行くたびに子どもたちはすっかりリフレッシュしています。公園で遊んだ後は、なぜか学校の遊び場が狭く感じられます。近くに公園があって、ほぼ毎日楽しめるところがあることにただ感謝しています。
