Hello everyone!

It has been another fun week here at ISN.
I’m happy to see many of the faces returning to school, and that everyone is healthy and safe.
This week we have been playing outside when it’s not raining, and having fun inside together on those rainy days.

お天気が良いときは園庭で、そして雨の日はクラスでと、とても賑やかで楽しい１週間を沢山のお友達と過ごしました。

Let’s learn about animals!

We have been continuing to learn about animals this week. Last week we focused on the farm animals pig, cow, horse, duck and sheep. This week we took a look at some of the animals you can see at the zoo. The animals we have been learning are: snake, lion, elephant, camel, frog and monkey. We talk about the animals name, color and the sound they make.
先週に引き続き、動物の名前を一緒にお勉強しました。
今週は、動物園にいる動物！みんなも見たことがある動物が沢山でてきましたね。ライオン、ぞう、へび、らくだ、カエルにサル！
先ずは、先生と一緒に動物の名前を確認、その後にライオンはどんな色？どんな鳴き声？と一つ一つ絵を見ながらみんなと一緒に考えお話をしました。
動物の鳴き声をマネしたりと、とても楽しい時間でしたね。

Music lesson

We had another great music lesson this week!
We started the lesson by repeating the fruits flashcards activity. It’s so nice seeing some of the students already clapping while saying the name of the fruit before the teacher tells them to!
We also sang a nice song about flowers while holding the scarves in our hands.
今週のリトミックは、先週のおさらい、脈を感じ、数の確認、即時反応について！果物、野菜のカードを見てその名前をいいながら手を打つ！瞬時に反応し、大きな声で名前を言いながら手を叩くことができてるお友達が沢山いました。
そしてスカーフでお花を作り、“おはながわらった”を歌いながら身体をゆらゆら。今週も綺麗なお花が沢山咲きました！
最後のご挨拶の時に“もっとやりたい”と先生にお願いしていたお友達もいました。また来週やろうね！

What are we learning?

In these first couple of months, our main focus has been getting them used to the new classroom environment and learning some basic phrases in addition to our monthly themes.
We have been focusing on phrases like “Good morning”, “Good bye, see you tomorrow”, “Thank you”, “You’re welcome”, “Can you help me, please”, “I’m here” and “It’s mine”.
４月から新しいクラスが始まり、クラスや環境に慣れてもらうと共に、短い毎日使うフレーズ、“おはよう”“ありがとう”“さようなら”“また明日”“手伝ってください”“私、ぼくの”などを毎日繰り返し使い覚えていきます。お家でもお子さんとの会話の中に取り入れてみてください。

We also did a fun activity with alphabet magnets this week. We put some letters on each table and asked the kids to find the first letter in their names. We have been talking about the first letter of everyone names after our ABC song. They also got a chance to select a few extra letters and present them for the rest of the class before putting them on the whiteboard.
各テーブルにランダムに置かれたアルファベットマグネットから自分の名前の頭文字を探しました！テーブルに貼ってある名前を見ながら探す子や、先生に聞きながら探す子、パッと探し出せる子などさまざまですが、みんな見つけて先生に見せる事ができました。最後に数個ランダムにマグネットを掴み、自分が何を掴んだかみんなの前で発表しました。

We have started singing a new alphabet song in addition to our regular phonics song. It’s a fun and catchy song, so please take a look and sing it together when you have time!
いつものABCの歌に加えて、今週から新しいアルファベットの歌を練習しています！テンポもよく、頭に残る曲です。ついつい口ずさんでしまう時があります。
お時間がある時にお子様と一緒に聴いて、歌ってみてください。
