Hello everyone!

We had a more relaxed week after the Christmas show. We finished our OUI by doing end-of-unit interviews. We also continued our regular reading and writing lessons, relaxing with fun Christmas crafts. The week’s highlight was the open day!

クリスマス ショーの後は、もっとリラックスした 1 週間を過ごしました。ユニット終了時のインタビューで UOI を終えました。また、通常の読み書きのレッスンも続け、楽しいクリスマス クラフトでリラックスしました。今週のハイライトはオープン デーでした。

Open day

We would like to thank all the families for joining us on our open day. We had a wonderful time creating Santa and reindeer puppets together. As part of our UOI, we have explored different ways of telling stories. During our workstation, the children performed their original puppet shows for their friends.

オープンデーにご参加いただいたすべてのご家族に感謝いたします。サンタとトナカイの人形を一緒に作って、とても楽しい時間を過ごしました。UOI の一環として、物語を伝えるさまざまな方法を模索してきました。午後のワークステーションでは、子どもたちがオリジナルの人形劇を友達の前で披露しました。

Workstation

The kids have been doing workstation activities every day this week while participating in our end-of-unit interviews. The workstation usually consists of math, writing, crafts, puzzles, or board games.

今週、子どもたちはユニット終了時のインタビューに参加しながら、毎日ワークステーション アクティビティを行っています。ワークステーションは通常、算数、ライティング、工作、パズル、ボード ゲームなどで構成されています。

Christmas movie

We watched “The Grinch” together in class. Before watching the movie, we discussed what we had learned about story elements and structure. After the movie, we also talked about the characters, setting, and plot.

私たちはクラスで一緒に「グリンチ」を見ました。映画を見る前に、ストーリーの要素と構成について学んだことを話し合いました。映画を見た後は、登場人物、設定、あらすじについても話し合いました。

Outside play

The first snowfall arrived this week. We didn’t have our snow gear yet, but the kids were too excited and couldn’t wait any longer.

今週、初雪が降りました。まだ雪用の装備を持っていませんでしたが、子供たちは興奮しすぎて、もう待ちきれませんでした。

Birthday party

We celebrated our December birthday friend with a fun party! She did a great job answering questions in a clear voice in front of everyone!

12月に誕生日を迎える友達を楽しいパーティーで祝いました。みんなの前ではっきりとした声で質問に答えてくれて、とても良かったです。
