We had a calm and relaxing start to the week — just what we needed after all the excitement of last week! 🌸
On Monday, since it was a childcare day, we enjoyed a long trip to the park. We had fun throwing the frisbee around 🥏. At one point it got stuck in a tree, which turned into a great problem-solving challenge. After a few creative attempts, we managed to get it down by shaking the tree and tossing a stick at it. Teamwork at its best! 🌳💪
On Wednesday, we headed to our swimming lesson 🏊. We practiced ducking our heads under the water. It can feel a little scary at first, but everyone showed such bravery — we’re getting stronger and more confident each time! 🐠✨
On Thursday, we had a challenging but rewarding phonics class. We focused on the sounds g and o, and then used all the sounds we’ve learned so far to start writing CVC words! 📝 At first it was tricky, but with practice, everyone began to catch on. We know it will take time, but we’re determined to keep trying our best. 🌟
今週は穏やかでリラックスしたスタートを切りました——先週の興奮の後にはまさにぴったりでした！🌸
月曜日はデイケアの日だったので、公園へ行ってたくさん外遊びを楽しみました。フリスビーを投げ合って遊びました🥏。途中で木に引っかかってしまい、素晴らしい問題解決の挑戦に変わりました。幾度かの工夫を重ね、木を揺らしたり棒を投げつけたりしてようやく取り戻せました。最高のチームワークでした！🌳💪
水曜日はスイミングレッスン🏊。頭を水に浸ける練習をしました。最初は少し怖く感じますが、みんな勇敢に挑み、回を重ねるごとに強さと自信を身につけています！🐠✨
木曜日は、やりがいのあるフォニックスの授業でした。gとoの音に集中し、これまでに学んだ全ての音を使ってCVC単語の書き始めに挑戦！最初は難しかったですが、練習を重ねるうちにみんなコツをつかみ始めました。時間はかかるでしょうが、これからも全力で頑張る決意です。🌟
Looking ahead, next week we’ll begin our new Unit of Inquiry: How We Express Ourselves. 🎉 We’ll be exploring celebrations and festivals — a wonderful way to see how people around the world express joy, traditions, and togetherness.
This weekend is a great chance to talk with your child about festivals or celebrations you’ve enjoyed recently. Look through photos, share memories, and maybe even bring some in next week for show-and-tell. Encourage your child to think about:
- What did we do?
- Who was there?
- What did we see, eat, and wear?
- How did it feel?
We can’t wait to hear about everyone’s special experiences and make connections to how children all around the world celebrate too. 🌍✨
And of course, we ended the week with a wonderful celebration on Friday — a birthday party! 🎂🥳 We celebrated 3 friends from our class and 1 friend from Aurora who had birthdays this month. The children wore crowns 👑, answered fun questions, sang and danced together, and each received a card to take home. It was such a joyful way to wrap up the week! 🎶💌✨

そしてもちろん、今週は金曜日に素敵な祝い事——誕生日パーティーで締めくくりました！🎂🥳 今月お誕生日を迎えたクラスの3名のお友達と、オーロラから1名のお友達を祝福しました。みんなは王冠👑をかぶり、楽しい質問に答え、一緒に歌って踊り、お持ち帰り用のカードを受け取りました。週の締めくくりにふさわしい、とても楽しい時間となりました！🎶💌✨
