What a busy, exciting, and wonderfully wintry week we’ve had together! ❄️
We kicked things off with a whole-kindergarten storytelling session. 📖🐻
Ms. Rose read Goldilocks and the Three Bears, and the children loved hearing the story come alive. Afterwards, we traced around our feet and cut out the shapes to make Goldilocks footprints 👣—a great little motor-skill challenge! It was lovely for everyone to be together as a whole school.

まずは園全体での読み聞かせからスタートしました。📖🐻
ローズ先生が『ゴルディロックスと三匹のクマ』を読み聞かせると、子どもたちは物語が生き生きと動き出すのを大喜び。その後は自分の足形をトレースして切り抜き、ゴルディロックスの足跡👣を作りました——細かい作業の練習にもぴったり！園全体で集まれた素敵な時間でした。
On Tuesday, we began reading our new book, Get the Pets. 🐶🐱🐰
Each child brought home a copy, so please enjoy reading it together a few times throughout the week. Rereading familiar books helps build reading fluency, confidence, and joy! 📚💪

On Wednesday, we splashed our way through our swimming lesson at SAM. 🏊♂️💦
The children practiced kicking with straight legs and pointed toes, and they are becoming stronger and more comfortable in the water each time.

In music, we joined Aurora’s class to rehearse our Christmas show song. 🎄🎶
The children are doing wonderfully—each practice sounds better and better! It was exciting for them to hear what the full song will sound like when everyone sings together. Keep practicing those lyrics at home! 🎤⭐

For phonics, we started learning the Set 2 sound ay (as in may I play?) 📝✨.

Our play rehearsals are going strong! 🎭
This week we practiced Scene 4, where the children match decorations and objects to different celebrations. 🎉🎈 We are nearly at the end of the play now! This scene has quite a few lines, so please continue practicing them at home. The class did a wonderful job on Friday—they used such big, confident voices! 🎤👏
