🅰 BIG snowfall early in the week gave us LOTS of material for snow-play this week!
先週の初めに雪がたくさん降ったので、スクールではスノーウェアを着てたくさん雪遊びをしました！

「先生、見て見て！」、「写真撮って！」などとたくさん声をかけてくれました。

So it was a good, busy week with all 15 Shooting Stars nearly every day.
One very fun activity for our closing circle: the company that cooks and brings us our lunches invited us to suggest a favorite dish or menu, and we had LOTS of ideas which we wrote down to give them.
先週のMusic lessonでは、「きらきらぼし」をピアニカで、上手に演奏していました！最後には、女の子チームと男の子チームに分かれて、それぞれ吹いてみることに挑戦しました。他のお友達が行っている時に、しっかり聞くことは、とても大切です。先生がクラスで声をかけることもありますが、少しずつ、自ら聞こうとする姿勢になってきています。それぞれのグループが挑戦した後、皆にどうだったかが聞いてみると、あるお子さんが、「どっちも同じかんじだったと思う。」と笑顔で答えていたのが印象的でした。
And speaking of writing…this was our second week to write short SENTENCES in our writing notebooks. We’re learning to look for the PUNCtuation at the END of a sentence (Last week was the exclamation mark! This week was a period.) and the CAPitalization at the beginning of every sentence. We put on our CAP, and end with a PUNC…CAP-PUNC, CAP-PUNC! and looked for this in our reading booklets as well.
Shooting Stars LOVE learning and repeating long words, and the last three categories of our “Community Helpers” UOI are fun: 7) transporTAtion, 8) eduCAtion and ９） enterTAINment！ Next week we start our final LOI （Line of Inquiry）： Our responsibility in the community.
毎週行っているReading、Writingでも、それぞれ集中して行う姿が見られ、日々、子どもたちの成長を感じます。Writingでは、英単語だけでなく、数字や記号（!マークやピリオドなど）を取り入れたり、文短い章を書き始めました。文章のはじめは、大文字で書くことなどを毎週のWritingを通して学んでいます。また、UOIでは、”Community Helpers”について考える中で、transporation, eduducation, entertainmentなどの長い単語を繰り返して声に出すことが大好きです。来週以降は、Our responsibility in the communityについて皆でアイデアを伝え合う予定です。良い週末をお過ごしください。
