9月28日(日)、長野市の犀北館ホテルにて開催された「FICTS NAGANO国際スポーツ映画祭」へ参加してきました！！！
【FICTSとは？】 こちらのFICTSは、IOC（国際オリンピック委員会）に承認されているミラノに本部のあるイタリアの財団です。 世界123カ国がメンバーになっています。オリンピックを含む各種スポーツに特化した映画祭『World FICTS Challenge』を毎年、世界各国で開催し、国際スポーツ映画祭とワークショップを通じてスポーツ文化とオリンピック精神を広めています。 世界からエントリーされた24,000以上の映像作品を管理。
そして、【FICTS-NAGANOとは？ 】
スポーツ（オリンピックを含む）に特化したこの国際映画祭は日本で初めての開催です。 私達は、FICTSが提供する国際映画祭を長野で実施することで、長野県に住み暮らす子どもたちが、スポーツ文化やオリンピック精神を学び、国際的な視野をもち世界に通用する語学やコミュニケーション能力を身につけるための機会を創出します。 また、2030年にSDGSの【質の高い教育をみんなに】を達成します。 特に、長野県の国際化を促進するために国際的イベント開催の土壌をつくります。

ISN長野キャンパス時代より例年ご招待いただいている中野キャンパス児童が今年もプレゼンテーションを発表しました😊 児童が取り組んだプレゼンテーションは、まずFICTS NAGANOにエントリーしている作品の中から1作品を選び事前鑑賞します。そしてその内容や感じたこと、学んだことをプレゼンテーションへまとめ会場で発表します。
スポーツフェスティバルや日々のクラスでの学びと並行しながらの準備だったのできっと皆大変だったと思いますが当日はみなやる気十分！そして緊張しているかと思いましたが、割とリラックスした様子もうかがえました💡✨ 今回はグループ、ペア、ソロと全部で4つの発表を行ってくれました！ グループやペアではお互いサポートしあう様子が見られました。また、ソロでの発表を選んだ児童は、前日も練習に取り組み、親御さんからのフィードバックを求めたほど熱心だったそうです🔥
少ない時間や資源の中で最大限に準備をする姿がとても頼もしかったです！ 自分たちの発表後も会は進んでいきましたが、そのほとんどが英語で進められていました。
そして、その後は楽しみにしていたランチの時間です♪ 発表を終え、すっきりした表情で皆昼食を楽しんでいました😊
このFICTS NAGANOは2030年まで続きます。 今後もISNが携わっていけることを願います✨

On Sunday, September 28th, we had the wonderful opportunity to attend the FICTS NAGANO International Sports Film Festival, held at Saihokukan Hotel in Nagano City!
What is FICTS?
FICTS (Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs) is a foundation based in Milan, Italy, officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
With 123 member countries, FICTS organizes the World FICTS Challenge, a global film festival focused on sports and the Olympic spirit.
Each year, the festival takes place in countries around the world, promoting sports culture and Olympic values through films and workshops.
Currently, the organization manages more than 24,000 film entries submitted from across the globe.
What is FICTS NAGANO?
This international sports film festival was held for the first time in Japan, right here in Nagano!
By bringing this global event to our region, FICTS NAGANO aims to provide local children with opportunities to:
- Learn about sports culture and the Olympic spirit
- Develop international perspectives
- Strengthen language and communication skills needed to thrive in a global society
The festival also aligns with SDGs Goal 4: Quality Education for All by 2030, and aims to build a foundation for hosting more international events that contribute to the internationalization of Nagano Prefecture.

Student Presentations from ISN Nakano Campus
As in previous years—dating back to the ISN Nagano Campus days—our students from Nakano Campus were once again invited to participate in the event and give presentations 😊
Each student selected one film from the FICTS NAGANO entries to watch beforehand.
They then reflected on what they learned and how they felt, and compiled those thoughts into presentations, which they delivered at the event.
Although they had to prepare in parallel with their sports festival and regular classes, the students were full of energy and enthusiasm on the big day!
Surprisingly, instead of being nervous, many of them appeared relaxed and confident ✨
There were a total of four presentations—in group, pair, and solo formats.
In the group and pair presentations, we saw lots of teamwork and mutual support.
Those who chose to present solo put in incredible effort, even practicing the night before and seeking feedback from their parents. That level of dedication was truly inspiring! 🔥
Despite having limited time and resources, the students did their very best to prepare—and their commitment shone through in every presentation.
Experiencing an International Event
After the students’ presentations, the festival continued—and most of the event was conducted in English.
It was a valuable experience that gave the students a real sense of being part of an international community, and helped deepen their interest in global languages and cultures.
Time to Celebrate with Lunch!
After all the hard work, the students enjoyed a well-deserved lunch!
With their presentations behind them, they smiled and laughed together as they relaxed and enjoyed the meal 😊
Looking to the Future
FICTS NAGANO will continue through the year 2030.
We sincerely hope that ISN will remain part of this meaningful initiative in the years to come.
