Preparing for Our Final Project and Learning Map Skills

This week in our inquiry learning, we began preparing for our final project. The students will becreating detailed community maps that include important services, landmarks, and workers, and will also reflect on how government decisions affect our daily lives. We spent time planning what to include, how to organize the work, and how each group will take responsibility for different parts of the project.

今週の探究学習では、最終プロジェクトの準備を始めました。生徒たちは、地域の重要なサービス、ランドマーク、働く人々を含んだ詳しいコミュニティマップを作成し、さらに政府の決定が私たちの日常生活にどのような影響を与えるかについても考えます。どの内容を含めるか、どのように作業を整理するか、そして各グループがどの部分を担当するかを話し合いました。

Alongside this preparation, the students also learned how to measure distances on maps. Using rulers and map scales, they practiced finding the distance between different locations. This skill will help make their maps more accurate and realistic as they continue working on the project.

準備と並行して、生徒たちは地図上の距離の測り方も学びました。定規と縮尺を使い、地図上の異なる場所の距離を計算する練習をしました。このスキルは、プロジェクトを進める中でマップをより正確で現実的なものにするのに役立ちます。

By combining careful planning with new mapping skills, the students are building the tools they need to create thoughtful and detailed final projects.

Bus Trip to Togakushi Farm

This week we enjoyed a special bus trip to Togakushi Farm. The students were excited from the moment we set off, and the trip gave them the chance to experience nature, animals, and the beauty of the farm environment.

今週は特別に、戸隠牧場へのバス旅行を行いました。出発の時から子どもたちはとても楽しみにしていて、牧場で自然や動物に触れ、その美しさを感じることができました。

During the visit, the students had some free time to explore the farm. To make this time even more engaging, they were given a fun quiz. All of the answers could be found by looking carefully around the farm, which encouraged them to observe closely and connect what they saw with what they were learning.

牧場での時間の中で、生徒たちは自由時間に牧場内を探検しました。その時間をより楽しいものにするために、特別にクイズが用意されていました。答えはすべて牧場の中に隠されていて、よく観察しながら学んだことと結びつけることで、解答することができました。

The combination of exploration, discovery, and play made the trip a memorable learning experience. The students returned to school with smiles, new knowledge, and plenty of stories to share.

探検や発見、遊びを組み合わせたことで、今回の旅行は忘れられない学びの体験となりました。子どもたちは笑顔いっぱいで学校に戻り、新しい知識やたくさんの思い出を持ち帰りました。
