Nakano Rainbow: Enjoying Outdoor Play. (February 9nd – 13th)

This week, we used the freshly fallen snow to roll big snowballs and build a large snowman.
Even though the snowballs were heavy, the Rainbow class children worked hard together to roll them. When the snowman was finally complete, they stood beside it with big smiles on their faces.

They were also very curious about the ice that had formed on the pond. It cracked with a sharp sound, almost like breaking glass, and they enjoyed observing the sound and texture. Some children threw large, flat pieces of ice back into the pond and watched closely to see what would happen.

Through these experiences, they fully enjoyed the wonders of winter nature.

This week, the children created some Valentine’s Day crafts. They are becoming more skillful at using glue and stickers, and we could see them working carefully and thoughtfully on their projects.
They folded heart-shaped washi paper and added colorful paint to different sections, creating beautiful rainbow-colored hearts.
After the paint dried, they finished their artwork by adding their handprints. When opening the paper, the Rainbow class children were curious to see how the colors had changed and blended together.

See you next week!
