We want to send a warm welcome to all the newcomers and returnees! This week we kicked off our new school year with lots of fun activities. First and foremost, the children met their new and old friends, as well as new teachers, and got acquainted with the materials and classroom environment. They learned the rules, inclusive of getting to know new schedules and lessons that they will learn in Savannah/Rainforest class.
進入おめでとうございます！今週は、たくさんの楽しいアクティビティで新しい年度を始めることができました。まずは今週１週間かけて新しい担任の先生、新しい環境に慣れるために、朝の会でクラススケジュール（毎日のルティーン）を確認したり、遊びやレッスンの前にクラスルールを確認しながら過ごしました。
In our class we believe in children learning to make independent choices by thinking and choosing what they want to do during the free choice/play time. This is a great opportunity for them to learn social skills, in conjunction with being a caring communicator and thinker.
私たちのクラスでは、フリープレーの時間に自分は何をしたいのかを子ども達自ら考え、自分でそれを選択することによって、自立心を育てることができると信じています。これは、社会的スキルを学ぶ絶好の機会であると同時に、子どもたちを思いやりのある人、コミュニケーションができる人、そして考える人に育てる良い機会でもあります。
We cannot close our week without mentioning the fun outdoors activities! Everyday children got to exercise not only indoors but outdoors as well. We go for a walk over the hills to the shrine, or observe the ducks in the nearby river. The children watched the water reserve’s gushing dam, and played in the yard. Just look at how much fun they had!
今週は外でもたくさん遊びました！子どもたちは毎日、室内でも外でも色々なエクササイズをしています。公園で遊べない日が続いていますが、散歩へ行き、坂を登り降りしたり、神社の近くの広場で簡単なゲームをしたり、橋の上から川を覗いて鳥を観察したり。みんなとても楽しい時間を過ごしました！
Last but not least, the children utilized their time and practiced on math and small motor skills during the station work time. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect, and most importantly they had fun doing it!
ワークステーションの時間には、みんなの数字についての知識を確認しました。おはじきを使い紙に書かれている数字の分だけおはじきを並べます。みんなよくできていました！そして微細運動能力の確認もしました。ハサミを上手に使いまっすぐ切れるかどうか見てみました。みんなハサミも上手に使えていました👏
