Hello everyone,
This week has been a festivel for our kids. During outside pool days, kids enjoyed splashing and finding animals in the water. We provided different kinds of small animal toys and spread them around the pool and our youngsters tried looking for them, they were able to mention their names and identified which habitat they belong. By doing this activity, kids are challenge to remember the animals’ name.
戸外のプールあそびの日、子ども達は水しぶきを浴びたり、水の中にいる動物を探したりして楽しみました。いろいろな種類の動物のフィギュアを用意しプールのあちこちに広げ、「海の動物を見つけられるかな。」と子ども達に声を掛け見つけてくるゲームをしました。この活動をすることで、その動物がどの生息地に属しているか、何という動物の名前かを覚えることに挑戦しながら楽しめました。
Our youngsters are delighted of the workstations we set for the them to choose which do they like to play. We have a giant octopus and the snake but they are missing some parts of their bodies. Kids helped the octopus to have its legs and the snake to have its body. Our youngsters enjoyed making a ring and glue them to complete the missing part of their bodies gradually. Some kids chose to fold origami paper to make animal shape and other kids did the fishing game. It’s good to see our youngsters being interested to animals.
ワークステーションでは、子ども達が好きなものを選んで遊べるようになっています。キャニオンクラスの中にいる、体の一部が欠けている巨大なタコとヘビに、のりと紙を使って”輪つなぎ”でタコの足とヘビのしっぽを作って完成させてくれています。どんどん長くなっていくしっぽと足を楽しんでいます。折り紙を折って動物を作る子や、魚釣りゲームをする子もいます。楽しみながら、動物に興味をもてています。
Cow milking
This week, we had the opportunity to deepen our inquiry about animals. We invited a guest speaker and our youngsters listened to his talk and we discovered how farmers raise cows, what do they eat and how much food they eat everyday, and how big they could grow. After listening to the talk, our youngsters raised their hands and asked the speaker some questions they wanted to know about cows. After that, he gave us the chance to milk the cow by squeezing the pretend cow and seeing how milk overflows from its breast. It was a wonderful experience and learning to all of us. We also enjoyed the milk which was given to us by the farmer. Our youngsters love milk and they love the milk even more after knowing more about the cow.
私たちは、動物についての探究を深める貴重な体験ができました。ゲストスピーカーを招き、農家さんが牛をどのように育てているのか、牛は毎日何をどれくらい食べているのか、牛はどのくらい大きくなるのかなどを知りました。話を聞いた後、牛について知りたいことを質問したり、牛の乳しぼりを体験したりしました。「牛の赤ちゃんも牛乳飲むの？」と私たちと同じ物を飲んでいる事に、少し不思議な気持ちを持ちながら話を聞きました。動物も私たちを助けている事〈LOI3〉に繋がって探究を深められたらと思います。また、農家の方からいただいた牛乳も、その日のおやつと一緒においしくいただきました。牛乳が大好きな子ども達は、この体験を通してさらに牛乳が好きになったようです。
What animal is it? Guessing Game
We watched the video about the Land, Sky and Ocean animals then we tried to listen to their sound. Boys and girls were eager to guess what animal was it so we used the buzzer and they competed pressing it, once they knew the sound. They enjoyed it very much.
陸、空、海の動物についてのビデオを見た後、男の子チームと女の子チームに分かれ、何の動物の鳴き声か当てるゲームをしました。鳴き声がわかったらブザーを押して答えます。英語での言い方がわからない友達にチームメイトが助けてあげ、協力して頑張りました。
Alphabet fishing
Learning is getting more fun as we connect our UOI Lesson to learning the alphabet. This week, we learned about the Letter Kk and Ll and the words which start with it. We did the fishing the alphabet activity and our youngsters were able to recognize catch the letter the teacher was asking. Well done, Canyon.
UOI Lessonをアルファベットの学習につなげることで、レッスンがより楽しくなってきました。今週は、KkとLlというアルファベットとそこから始まる単語について学びました。アルファベットフィッシュを釣るアクティビティーを行い、指定された文字を探して釣り上げる事ができました。
Our youngsters really love playing with blocks with their friends. Most of the boys love making trains and airplanes and say, “I wanna show it to my mom!” Before cleaning up, as a remembrance we take a photo of them then they are satisfied to keep going cleaning up with friends.
友達と一緒にブロックで遊ぶのが大好きです。男の子のほとんどは電車や飛行機を作り、”ママに見せたい！”と作品を壊したくない様子。ブロックの数も限られているので、記念に写真を撮ってあげると、片付けが出来ます。もちろん、お迎えの時に、お家の方へ写真とともにご報告♡子ども達も満足気です
Gym Day
We started practicing for the Incoming Sports Festival during the gym lesson. Everyone aim to be the first doing the race and our youngsters do their best to show a good performance in front of everyone especially to their families. We can make it! Go! go! go! Canyon.
