Learning about place value in math

[envira-gallery id=”22729″]

This week was a short week of learning about place value (ones, tens and hundreds) in math and surviving the heat wave. In phonics we have learnt about tripthongs (spr, shr, spl) which are sounds made by putting 3 letters together. Many children enjoyed learning their sports festival routine which will be a hula hoop dance to a song from Moana, the movie.

Our inquiry unit is almost finished and this week we have been revising the things we have learnt such as “What are the characteristics of a culture and country?”.

We also imagined what time in the past we would like to visit if we could get in a time machine like the one in Doraemon.
