Busy as bees, the Savanna class has started wrapping up not only this unit of inquiry but also their wonderful journey in this class. Time truly flies when you are having fun, and this year has been exactly that for us. The months passed so quickly, and now the students are preparing for the next and final stage of their preschool journey.
Savannaクラスの子どもたちは、まるで働き者のミツバチのように忙しく、UOIのまとめだけでなく、このクラスでの素晴らしい一年の締めくくりにも取り組んでいます。楽しい時間は本当にあっという間ですね。今年はまさにそんな一年でした。月日が驚くほど早く過ぎ、子どもたちは今、就学前の最後のステージへ向けて準備を進めています。
Back in the classroom, we have begun reflecting on our unit. The students revisited the questions posted on our Wonder Wall and worked together to answer them. Since these questions were explored throughout the inquiry, the students were able to respond with confidence and big smiles on their faces. It was wonderful to see how much their understanding has grown over the course of the unit.
今週から、ユニットの振り返りを始めました。子どもたちはワンダーウォールに掲示してある質問をもう一度見て、みんなで協力しながら答えを考えました。ユニットが始まる前は疑問に思っていた内容も、探究を終えた今、子どもたちは自信を持って答えることができました。ユニットを通して子どもたちの理解が大きく深まったことを感じられ、とても嬉しく思いました。
We have also started preparing for a special event created by the students themselves: Savanna Party Day – A Celebration of Friendship. During the brainstorming stage, the students suggested important elements for their celebration, including food, costumes, crafts, and music. To organize their ideas, they divided themselves into four groups, with each group planning one aspect of the celebration.
そして子どもたち自身が企画した特別なイベント 「Savanna Party Day – A Celebration of Friendship」 の準備も始まりました！
どんなお祝いにしたい？という話し合いでは、食べ物、コスチューム、クラフト、音楽など、アイデアをたくさん出してくれました。出たアイデアを整理するために、子どもたちは4つのグループに分かれ、それぞれのグループがセレブレーションの一つの内容を担当して計画しています。
The students also expressed their desire to invite their teachers and the Rainforest class as special guests. For them, this celebration is not only about having fun, but also about showing appreciation and celebrating friendships as they approach their final year in preschool. They shared that the crafts they are preparing will be given to their parents as a way of saying thank you for the love and support they received throughout the year.
子どもたちは、特別ゲストとして先生たちやRainforestクラスのお友だちも招待したいと話してくれました。このセレブレーションは、ただ楽しむだけでなく、就学前最後の一年を迎えるにあたり、感謝の気持ちを伝えたり、友だちとの友情をお祝いしたりする意味も込められています。
また、現在準備しているクラフトは、この一年間たくさんの愛情とサポートをくれた保護者の方々へ「ありがとう」を伝えるプレゼントとして渡したいと、子どもたちが話してくれました。
As we look forward to Savanna Party Day, we hope this celebration becomes a meaningful and memorable moment for the students.
As the school year comes to a close, we all share similar feelings. There is a little sadness in saying goodbye to this chapter, but also excitement as the students prepare to take on new challenges and experiences in the next stage of their learning journey.

そして、学年の終わりが近づくにつれて、私たちも子どもたちと同じような気持ちを感じています。このクラスでの時間に別れを告げることには少し寂しさもありますが、子どもたちが次のステージで新しい挑戦や経験に向かっていくことへの楽しみや期待も大きくなっています。
