From describing our physical appearances to sharing our personal preferences, Canyon is getting more confident in expressing ourselves. Canyon: “Look here. I like yellow school bus. I like red. I like strawberries. I like potato and potato chips. My favourite fruit is banana.”
見た目の共通点や違いから個人的な好みまで、キャニオンさん達は自信を持って”自分”を表現することが出来るようになってきています。「ここを見て。黄色のスクールバスが好き。赤が好き。イチゴが好き。ポテトとポテトチップスが好き。好きな果物はバナナです。」などのように自分の好きなものを表現できるようになりました。
Each student chose their favourite fruit or vegetable and made a tissue collage craft. They tried tracing their names and colouring in the words for their favourite fruits and vegetables. Good job! We sang songs about different kinds of fruits … “Do you like broccoli? Yes, I do”. In another song “Are You Hungry?” and we learned how to reply “Yes, I am. No, I’m full.”
一人ひとり自分の好きな果物やお野菜を一つ選び、ティッシュペーパーでコラージュを制作しました。そして、制作した紙に書かれた自分のお名前を、クレヨンを使ってトレーシングにも挑戦してみました。Good job!”Do you like broccoli? Yes, I do”. や “Are You Hungry?” などのいろいろな食べ物が出てくるお歌も歌いました。そして”Yes, I am. No, I’m full.”の英語の表現も学びました。
Traffic Safety Practice交通安全教室
The Squirrel Mascot from the Matsumoto Traffic Safety came to ISN! We were reminded about important safety rules like being safely buckled down in the child seat, holding our parent’s hand when walking in a car park and crossing the road. We practised more safety rules as pedestrians in the schoolyard too. We paired up with students from the Rainforest class, our 6 year-old friends. Thank you Rainforest, you guided us well!
リスのマスコットが松本市役所から交通ルールを教えにISNに来てくれました！チャイルドシートにきちんと乗ること、シートベルトを締めること、駐車場と横断歩道では保護者の手をしっかりつなぐ、または必ず離れずそばにいること、などとても大切な交通ルールについてお話をしてくれました。その後、園庭に出て、実際にどうやって横断したらよいかを教わりながら実践してみました。年長クラスのレインフォーレストさんとペアになり、一緒に手をつないでもらい交通ルールに従いながら園庭に準備していただいた簡易横断歩道を渡りました。
Family Day Craft and Songs
In ISN, we celebrate Family Day – Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, not forgetting our brothers and sisters too. In our craft, we have “Happy Family Day. I Love You” with lots of hearts!
ISNでは、Family Dayとして、お家の方に感謝をする日があります。パパ、ママ、そして兄弟姉妹にも感謝を伝えます。”Happy Family Day. I Love You”という言葉を添えて、たくさんのハート❤を付けたカードを制作しました。
Rote Counting and Shapes – Triangle
Numbers are everywhere. We count the number of students in class. We count our fingers and toes as we sing finger play songs. We just started rote counting with the help of the song in the link below. With matching cards, we are beginning to recognise numbers 1 to 5. Canyon has been learning shapes – circle and triangle too. We use objects, toys and our fingers to create the 3 sided triangle.
数字ってあちこちにあるね！クラスでも毎日お友だちの数を数えます。手遊び歌に合わせて手の指、足の指を数えることもあります。以下のリンクのような数字のお歌を歌いながら一から順番に数えることを学んでいます。１から５までの数を、カードをマッチングするゲームを通しても学び始めています。そして、〇丸と△三角などの基本の形についても触れました。おもちゃや指などを使って△を作ってみました！
Our First Bus Trip!
Thank you dear Parents for preparing our bento lunches! We went for our very first bus trip with the other 4 year old class, Waterfall. We had fun in the sun and a splashing good time in the water!. Till next week, have a fantastic weekend.
